  4. Today is my birthday and the greatest gift I'm giving to myself is my surgery next month! Can't Waite and super excited. Told my family to save their money to buy me a real The North Face jacket for my smaller self lol. Anyone have any cute accomplishment that kept them motivated like fitting on a ride, walking longer, fitting in smaller cloths? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Sad thing is I stopped talking to a friend who would ask and do the same thing eating what you shouldn't. Which I'm new to this app but not to the whole process got so close many times but insurance changed but now it is my time. But basically she was new at this whole process and told me what to do all the time but it was wrong.... Sad stuff! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Don't risk it unless you want to lose all.. The trust won't be there when you go with the other girl. And she might not want anything but a fling which is not worth losing a love Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Don't buy any, if you need one just think of the surgery. Do you want to live longer or die from cancer or pneumonia? You need strong lungs after surgery so you don't get pneumonia which kills very fast. And depending on which kind you could be stuck in a nursing home under isolation. Also look up why they want you to stop smoking for gastric bypass. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Yes there are a lot of germs and they are where you least expect them to be. For example nurses arms where gloves don't cover. Floors, walls, basically where anyone has touched without gloves on. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Yes seems they rushed you out. But on the other hand I think if your a good pt. and all is well it's good they pushed you out. staying long in the hospital makes the risk higher for infectious diseases. Cdiff is the main one Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Yes and now I'm on a cpap best thing ever!! I get better sleep and feel much better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Shaking is not a good sign,it means your fighting an infection I would call the doctor and see what they say. ASAP Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. I just want to say that I was happy to ride fair rides ( limited though or Ik I would never fit) with my 7 year old, however I had to squeeze myself in. My belly was the problem but I still enjoyed the time. Next month is my surgery and I can't Waite to be there for my 7 year old doing fun things. Like next year at the fair I'll be able to fit on all of the rides. feeling very positive Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I'll tell you all if you don't know already KROGER has a milk well lactose milk and it's 11grams of Protein for 8oz. Vanilla is good and not to thick, chocolate on the other hand is thicker. I think it's Kroger carbsmart milk Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Well iv been told anything under 5grams is ok. So depends on who you ask. But I also believe it's like a month out too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Has anyone gone from losing weight to become someone new and wants a new life? For example working retail then going to school or going to school to be a nurse but became a fitness instructor? I have not had my surgery and I'm in school but I'm not sure if im really into it. I have a child and want to be able to afford for us but I feel like im stuck bc I am obese and can't get new beginnings bc people judge me all I can do is go to school. So I guess I'm really asking is after gastric bypass does it open more doors for careers? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I wish I found out about Arctic zero it's a frozen dessert comes in many flavor depends on what kind you get but a pint could only be 170 calories, just let it sit out for 5-10 min and it's so good... Then eat salads also to much Protein without exercise will make you gain weight or stay stable. Don't eat after 7 pm Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Yea no Patches, it's better to get the dissolved or liquid Vitamins. That way you can really know it's working. The patches are hit or miss Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I will be doing the same after I get my surgery though I'll have to do it more like 80 pounds but it will be exciting Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I just read this post and have to ask what did they do with you when you had cdiff? Did you go home with family there or your alone? This is a big worry for me... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Don't do it again your stomach is still healing! What if a peanut chunk gets caught in where the staples are between a piece of stomach lining? Then you would get a bacteria which can do many things that can kill you... Follow the rules so you won't have problems down the road Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Omgsh love this!!!! where did you find those at? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. People in their bubbles..... I always smile with a bit of evil when they keep talking.. Though some personal trainers aren't bad, some actually start out overweight or obese we just don't have enough of them to go around sadly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I have never seen so much two faced people in my life. This girl was going to get gastric bypass just a month after me. Well I have a date and she's been so out there with her attitude!! So I go on fb and read this comment clearly about me on her friends posts how I'm jealous I don't have a man! A MAN!?? Ummm haha no 1. I don't need a man in my life atm 2. Why would you think I'm jealous of not having a man!?! I got bigger things to be jealous over for one not owning my own black horse, or not Winning the Lottery! So I said my goodbyes and blocked her butt! I don't keep friends who are trash and the only thing I should have done was to have gotten rid of her a year ago to a new life and new friends!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I haven't had mine yet but Ik the least days are the best bc of hospital born viruses Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
