    Finally under 200!

That's fantastic! You look happier and younger. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks for sharing. Most, if not all of us can completely relate. I hate Lane Bryant! That's not my style at all, yet most of my clothes come from there. I look forward to waltzing right into wherever I want and being picky! Buying clothes for style, not just because they fit. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I had trouble too but I found it. Here's how I found it on the mobile version of FB.... I went on my main FB feed page. At the very top there is a search option. Type in:BP August 2016 At the top of this search are the options Top, Latest, People... Etc. If you keep scrolling over you will see "Groups" Click on Groups and it pops right up. Ugh... why the hell did I do that?

Newbie here... I'm curious. So, what caused your stomach to have the reaction, do you think? It's a small amount, so was it because the food is fried, or because it was too large an amount, or just something you can't tolerate anymore, even in small amounts? I absolutely HATE throwing up or feeling nauseous... I'm trying to soak up all the knowledge on how to avoid this. My thinking is that if you are so far away from your surgery you wouldn't get sick by such a small amount. Just curious! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My journey has begun!

Hi! We have very similar stats. Im 5'5 and 236, except I'm 10 years old - 42. I'll have the surgery some time in August of everything goes right. I wish that I had made this decision ten years ago at your age. It only gets harder and harder to lose weight. When I turned 40 I almost over night gained 20 pounds and it doesn't seemed to matter what I do, the scale doesn't budge. Good for you for going forward. Sooner is better than later. 9. Boots Wearing clothes for my age, not my moms age. Being in pictures. My husband looks like a single dad in all my scrapbooks because I just hate to be photographed. Not being the fattest one in the room, always. Shopping with friends I always head to the shoes and purses.... Being able to just shop like a thin person. How do I tell my children?

YES, YES, YES. That's exactly what I'm thinking too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How do I tell my children?

Love the picture! Thank you for that. I try to be very up front with them also and I know that's why this was bothering me so much. I was actually devising ways of getting around the truth to hide it from them. It was making me sick. You are all right, I just have to do it, the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks so much. How do I tell my children?

Thank you, I think you are both right. If I treat it like its not a huge deal, I think they will move on quickly. Also good advice to prepare food ahead of time. I hadn't thought of that at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Hi Sleevers, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I very much appreciate everyone who takes the time to post their stories as well as those of you that give your advice. Reading your input has really made me feel prepared for my surgery. I will be sleeved in August. My question is about how to tell my children. I have a 10 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. My daughter is very short for her age and has a few extra pounds that make her feel self conscious. She's very active in dance and I know she just hasn't hit a growth spurt yet. If they were younger and I could get away with not telling them at all, I would. I feel like I can't get away with that now because of people's questions and comments about my weight loss afterwards. Although I'm not going to tell everyone, I also won't lie if asked outright. I definitely wouldn't lie in front of my kids. I struggle mostly with how to tell my daughter. I just don't know how to tell them. Any suggestions or can you tell me how you handled it with older children? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
