Had a soft scrambled egg with some cheese in it as my first meal. Made a whole egg, filled my 2oz condiment cup with some and used my kiddie spoon. Ate about 1/2 the container which looks to be about 1/4 to 1/3 of the egg. Chewed it to death. BEST. EGG. EVER.
Hardest part was not drinking but waiting 45 minutes and drinking now.

I am scheduled for my sleeve on July 20th. Am very nervous because he will be doing a reverse Nissen also, anyone have this done.

Thank you for sharing. Congrats to you on your 100lb loss! ! That's awesome! Cant beleive they removed your gall blader and fixed hernia...that's alot! I'm nervous about so many things but one of my biggest fears is getting a leak. I have heard a few horror stories. I also want to be able to get all my fluids in those first few days. It's not going to be a walk in the park but it's well worth and gets easier with time....well somewhat easier. The head hunger and desires kick back in over time. So make sure you start making healthy choices from the beginning. I have been doing combination of Whole 30 and Paleo eating/dieting for the the last month. The more I eat healthy the more I want to and crave healthy foods. My hospital gave me a ton of the one ounce medicine cups and told me to sip one every 10-15 minutes. I did that for the first 3-4 days but got tired of filling those little things up so started drinking out of a regular cup or bottle. It did help me from drinking too much at one time.
You will do great! Just stick with the plan and start making healthy choices from the beginning. If you see you're picking up bad habits put a stop to them before they get out of control.

Hello all! It's normal to be nervous. As long as you follow your surgeon and NUT's instructions you will be fine. July 31st is my 1 year anniversary. I've lost 100 pounds. I would like to lose another 10 pounds but I'm happy either way. I feel better and have a lot more confidence. I was out of work for 2 weeks and 3 days. I had gastric sleeve, my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia. The health benefits outweigh the risk. Good luck ladies.

I'm scared of possible complications like a leak or something. I'm also scared of how diffrent my eating habits will be once the surgery is over. I guess It's normal to feel this way.

I posted this on another July sleeve thread, but this one seems to be much more active, so I hope you don't mind me posting it here as well.
Hi everyone. I'd like to join the club. :-) I just got my surgery date of July 27th! One month to go! I wondered if there were any other July sleevers who might want to be a sleeve buddy. I thought having some things in common might make our connection better.
So here is a little info about me:
I'm 42. I've yo yo dieted all my life. I believe I had some non specified eating disorders in the past.
My BMI is 40. I like being active and keep getting tastes of it with the yo yo dieting, only to eventually end up back in this prison of a body again. I'm happily married with 3 sons. I have been doing a lot of healing work since my breast cancer in 2013 and have improved so many areas of my life, but this weight tethering me down is something I need to fix. I'm ready! I live in NY and am having surgery in Sayre, PA on July 27. I'm scared of the negativity and judgment I'll receive from some people, so have only told my husband and best friend about the surgery so far. I would love to keep it private forever, but just don't know if that's possible. I'd love to chat with someone else who also struggles with that part of it.
I'm really excited for this new chapter of my life!!

I'm scheduled for the 18th. I'm VERY nervous. Going back & forth but I know I'll regret it if I don't!

I'm getting sleeved on July 9th. I'm really nervous also however excited about my life afterwards and that calms me when I think of the new healthier more active me.

I am scheduled for the 13th. This is my 2nd attempt and I am ready for it! I had to reschedule the first time cos of work. I start my pre op diet on Monday and looking forward to it all.

July 13th for me! And I can totally relate to your nervousness. I am feeling it, too.

When I think about it my heart beats harder!! I'm so nervous knowing my life changing surgery is literally days away. Is there anyone who would be sharing the same surgery date with me or around the same time?

I am scared to death !! I am going to have my surgery sometime in August !! It came up so fast, from what I'm told you wouldn't be normal if you weren't scared!! Love my surgeon but still gonna be scared till I open my eyes and see my family !!!

The statistics on mortality during or after wls are so low you're more likely to die in a car crash or plane crash for that matter. Let's just stay positive and think about "when I wake up" not "if" I'm sure after its all said and done with it will have all been so worth it. And you'll have a lot more time to spend with your husband and kids in a lot more active way!

@@Nicki24 that is definitely my biggest fear, going under and never waking back up to my children and husband.

I'm the 12th I'm super nervous too like what if I go under anesthesia and never wake back up I'm only 24 I have so much left to do on this earth but then I think that if I don't do this how long will I really be around anyways? Or what kind of life would it be ? Probably lonely and meaningless.... I've lost 57 lbs so far on my own and just started my pre op liquid diet today. I'm so so nervous but I'm also excited for the results, and for the life I have waiting for me afterwards. At the size and weight I am I have severe pcos and have been told I am infertile. I can't wait to reverse that and start a family! I'm doing this this for me and my future.

I had my RNY done February 11th 2016 and as of today I have lost 101 lbs! I was just as nervous as you even up to the morning of the surgery. Having a wonderful support person helps. Good luck to you all!

I am July 7 and have found oddly that I am getting less nervous as it gets closer.

I'm July 6th and I'm freaking out!!
I'm already rethinking if this is the way to go, surgery for weight loss??

@@Jasminelums I'm the 5th and me too. A gal in our group just dropped out. She's lost 50 pounds on her own. I'm not sure how many more she has to lose. Not sure whether to pity her or jump with her! In all seriousness, I've been down this road before and I bailed back in 2011 and regretted it. I lost 72 pounds on my own and it ALL came back. I bounce between panic and giddiness when I think about the surgery. Just hope it goes smoothly with no complications
