I'm no expert on such matters of course but in my defense...
Before one can win the heart of a lady one must win her attentions...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I just did precisely that...
Not that winning hearts is my aim...
I've won the heart I need...
But i am the (alleged) resident creeper after all...
So I've a reputation to live down to...

I have spent the last week taking donations and loading an 18 wheeler for flood victims in WVa. We've worked from 9a-8p each day in 90+ degree heat. I NEVER would have been able to pull even one day before WLS.

I have been interviewed with two news stations (ABC and CBS) and I have been in an assload of media pictures. In an attempt to garner more attention, I have live streamed throughout each day encouraging people to come out and help. Before WLS, I hated being in front of a camera and would have NEVER done even a moment of that.

Over the week, I happily visited various businesses and asked for donations, even while sweaty and sort of a wreck. Before WLS, I didn't go anywhere with a hair out of place.

I was always a fit, confident person, but I was also always very self aware and self conscious of my appearance. Losing this weight has given me the freedom to just DO without thinking about how I look doing it.

    Freedom. It's a beautiful thing.

One truck filled to the brim, two more weeks of hard work ahead!

Enjoy the journey. It sounds cheesy, but it's true.

Every size lost, every new pair of pants bought, every teeny victory is to be savored. The first time you can back your car up and actually turn around in your car seat comfortably, the first time you paint your toenails and can breath while doing so, the first time you can cross your legs, or wear a regular sized garment, or get up off the floor without rolling to your knees first, or wrap your fingers around your wrist, or feel your hipbones, your sternum, your tailbone...

There are so many little things that you will do and then realize you DID (cuz ohmygawd you've not done that in SO.FREAKING.LONG). When the scale stops moving for a few weeks (but your pants keep getting looser) you have to rejoice in all the little things that are happening to your body along the way, because those are what add up to the big things.
No one will ever see your number on the scale (unless you shamelessly tell people like I do at times), and rarely will someone know your clothing size (well...uhm...) but they WILL see you bounce up the stairs without huffing and puffing, they will see your confident posture and smile as you shop at a regular store, they will see you run after your kids or for the bus...

This WLS thing is awesome. Ridiculously awesome. Enjoy every minute of it.

I have noticed since I have had the sleeve I have saved a bunch of money. All the money I would have bought Breakfast and lunch out. I didn't eat out all the time but I did quite often!

Take my measurement like @@BigViffer said. They really help with getting through stalls. I still don't take them on a weekly basis only when I am ordering clothes. I wish I did them every week and kept them in an excel chart like I made but never used.
Other than that, my biggest regret is starting to date at 3 months but you know hormones.
Also early on I used to measure some foods and weigh others. Now I weigh everything because I realized how off measuring can be and you can add so many calories using volume measurement instead of weighs.
I always logged all my food everyday. I have a year of it.

I love this! I think it's really cool and really fun to think of who we are outside of WLS. It's a big part of our lives, but nowhere near all of who we are. Honestly, I think WLS has just helped me uncover more of who I am.
Shortly after I learned to write, I knew I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I'm thankful I could turn it into a career.
I love my two rescue dogs like no other. I used to foster dogs and my oldest is a "foster fail."
Being in nature has always brought me a sense of peace.
I'm shy at first, but warm up quickly.
I can't remember not knowing how to swim. I love anything involving Water, but not boats. I get seasick easily.
I'm in no rush, but I look forward to having children one day.
My sense of humor is really dark and I like it that way. It helps me deal with some of life's harshest realities.
I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people, but I'm still thinking about them often.
I love to read, but I also probably watch more reality TV than I should.
I'm a decent driver, but I can't parallel park to save my life.
I value science above all else. It's the only way I can truly know anything.

I'm actually a pretty dull person, but here goes:
I love animals (yes, even cats) and would hoard them if given the chance. I have 3 Basset Hounds, 2 cats, and 2 grand Corgi's.
I volunteer at a local animal shelter walking dogs and doing adoptions.
I've been married for 27 years but we've been together for almost 30 years. That product of the marriage is 2 great kids who have grown up to be pretty darn decent humans, if I do say so myself.
Although I may seem like a big mouth, I can be quite shy and introverted sometimes.
I love anything to do with true crime and serial killers. Movies, books, TV shows, etc....One of my favorite books is about Ted Bundy. (EDIT: I don't CONDONE serial killers, I just find the concept fascinating)
I helped my parents breed, raise and show Arabian horses in my youth.
I graduated in a class of 16 people in a town of 1100 in Eastern Oregon.
At 45, I decided to change careers and have been fairly successful with it.
I'm honest to a fault sometimes.
I like big butts and I cannot lie. (Okay, just threw that one in there to see if you're paying attention)

How about people who must always one up someone else instead of letting them enjoy their moment.
Person A) We finally were able to save up and buy a decent, reliable car as our main vehicle that is only 4 years old.
Person We just bought a Corvette to cruise around in on weekends.
Person A) Our child always had a difficult time learning, worked their hardest and were admitted into our state college with a $5K/year scholarship.
Person Our child was given a full scholarship at (name of a prestigious school).
Person A) Now that our children are all grown up, we can finally take that honeymoon vacation we never could afford and go to Aruba for 5 days.
Person We are going to go on another annual 1 week cruise this summer and annual winter vacation in Aspen or Vail for a week to go skiing.

Or worse, leave you a voice mail that says, "Hey Lipstick! I have a question for you. Call me back, please!"
Usually the question is something stupid and can be answered in 5 words or less, but they WILL NOT just leave the question. Unnecessary phone tag is the result.

This is some great Monday fun
    1) Couples who share accounts on Facebook (i.e. StacyJason Smith). Just because you got married doesn't mean you've completely forfeited your personal identity.
    2) Close talkers. Especially when they inch forward as I inch backwards. NO!
    3) Being reliant on incompetent people to do your job and then looking like a fool when it's not done correctly because Barb from accounting didn't check her internal queue to process a payment.
    4) Men riding loud motorcycles. The louder the bike, the smaller the package.
    5) People who go to the beach and bring a radio and smoke cigarettes. I do NOT want to listen to Kanye West while I'm trying to enjoy the sound of the waves, and I CERTAINLY do not want to breathe in your cancer smoke!
    6) This year's election.
    7) Anyone who starts a sentence with "I'm not a racist or anything but..." Yes. Yes, you are a racist and you know it because you had to preface your thoughts with that statement.
    8) Someone mentioned this already but I'll say it again: people standing/walking so closely behind me I can feel their breath.
    9) Men who get offended when I hold the door for them. It goes back to number 8, I'm super uncomfortable with people walking behind me so I hold doors for ANYONE behind me because I want to walk without the weird feeling of someone watching my backside.
    10) Bad customer service. Just in general.
    Whew! I feel better now!

My email rant is people who send an email and then call you to go over the content. Or when I send them an email, call me to have me tell them what it said. And then the meeting to prepare for the meetings, with the meetings to discuss the meetings.
Yeah, I should go home now.

How about people who wait on a long line, who have a few minutes to decide what they want to order from the counter but wait until they get to the counter to first read the menu.
    "I'll have the.....ummmmmm........ahhhhhhhh........hmmmmmm..."
Lady or Sir, this is not a decision on whether you should have the experimental, high risk surgery to save your life, it is a decision over a friggin' hamburger, chicken sandwich or whatever!
I would like to get home with the food for my family before they report me as missing and my photo ends up on the side of a milk container!

Ok, here's another one....if you are fortunate enough not to have a disability...DO NOT PARK IN THE HANDICAPPED SPACES! DO NOT USE THE HANDICAPPED BATHROOM STALLS AND DO NOT USE THE HANDICAPPED SHOPPING CARTS! My daughter is disabled, after having 4 open heart surgeries in her short 24 years of life....she needs these things! If you use these and do not need them, you are an assf^ck.
