I am down a size in shoes now just with 20.5 lbs I gave in and bought a cheap 7 dollar pair of sandels in size 9 instead of 10 :thumbup: love them

My starting BMI was 61.9 weight was 419 I am on a 6 month diet for insurance but my doc does have a 3 month diet for his patients. I just started month 4 about 29 minutes ago so far I have lost 20.5 lbs. I didn't have to lose but I am but I can't gain back to what I started at. For his newer patients he wants them to lose 10% of their body weight. Even high BMIers can get banded, don't listen to the RNY talk.

Me too, only thing is i finish my 6 month diet in october surgery should be in November. If I have to fight the insurance I might not be able to get it done before the end of December when I wont have insurance anymore. I am praying everything goes okay.

Also the office said even if I lost 100 before surgery...which I won't...that I would still need it. So I am hoping (praying too) they will approve me in October. The lady I talked to said I shouldn't have any problems...but that's just one insurance lady. Lol now I am gonna start to worry again.

My doc's office said if they give me shit they'll fight for me. They don't think I will have problems though. I did start at 419 and I have several comorbs. The whole point of the 6 month diet is to prove that I can make a life changing commitment. I am doing JUST THAT.

Well I wish you lots of luck. Your story is very touching and I hope your life only gets better from now on. I started at 419 I dunno what it's life to be larger than that. I have a horrible time now. Today at my weigh in I was below the 400 mark hit 398.5 was estactic started crying tears of joy. I can't WAIT until I am banded in November. Wishing you sooooo much luck.
