  1. That certainly got my attention
  2. Hey, them's just jokes.....lighten up a little. Certainly nothing worth getting upset over.
  3. OOOps. It was right under my nose the whole time~ I'm up 3 lbs since Thanksgiving....for confession purposes Ok, ticker should be back
  4. plain replied to a post in a topic in The Lounge
    Nope, I'm still here.
  5. Hearing a woman admit to an affair w/ Richard Simmons......man, I didn't see that coming! That's what my wife said on our wedding night!
  6. Maybe it is time for a fill. My doc likes to space them out 6 weeks or so. Sorry, IDK about the pain......
  7. The waiting is the worst, LOL! I had to do a 6 month diet, but after I had done everything, my insurance came through pretty quick (maybe 2 weeks?). Hope everything falls into place smoothly!
  8. Hi there,SABRAINZ. You are certainly not alone. Not on here. I can't personally answer your questions (being a Texas dude), but there is a section that breaks down support groups by geography......so the "New York" thread might be a good place for you to start. Welcome, and good luck!
  9. Hi Kareen. Welcome to Lapbandtalk! I'm glad you found us!!
  10. I have the bestest spelling and grammer ever!
  11. I will. And I'll post the one I have for you in FB!
  12. You joke, but I have a friend here at the hospital that brags that is her level of restriction. She's a nurse, so she knows better.......people do crazy things. You sure it was toothpaste and not Preperation H ?!?
  13. Just as an FYI, I know some guys named (well nicknamed) "Trip" because they were the 3rd generation having the same name (derevitive of "triple", I think). It's the same reason I go by "Trey"....my real name is William. On a second note, My son is William the fourth, and we call him "Ivey" (wordplay on the roman numerals IV......I thought it was clever). But yeah, I agree some of those names are a little bizarre. Trig?!? And I have always thought it a little strange that some larger families name all the kids with the same letter.
  14. Ooops! Watch out....it'll sneak up on you!
  15. Well, if you press them, they'll admit that if the loss starts slowing down or if they gain, then they cut out the carbs, like The Adkins Diet. Which is not a bad thing.......but it is a little different from the claim of some that "DS'ers can eat anything they want". I'm sure that the majority are normal, but man......the radical ones really give that group a bad name.
  16. Bwa-ha-ha-ha......love it...... Amen. And I still gots NYE to go. I think I'm gonna be smashed.....
  17. Well, Shit. I know it was difficult for you to type this, but I hope you feel a little better now that you did. It wasn't until I became a father (I married into my oldest son, so I was kind of an "instant" dad) that I fully understood the effect that parents (and fathers in particular) have on the lives of their kids, for better or for worse. I can tell by your post that you are a good father for Cera......so in a weird, indirect way, your father is responsible for that. SO.....too much touchy feely stuff. WTH happened to the 'boys?!? I wonder if that will be her reply unpon her first encounter with the real thing? Dude! Just play it! Then you'll see the appeal. I can perform the hell outta "wanted dead or alive" on rockband. Sheesh! Was her dad a Sinatra? LOL Doing shots doesn't count as "medicine", Brandy! LOL Remember, finding the "sweet spot" is a dynamic thing.....a constant struggle with small adjustments. Right on. "Jack" has written, IMO, very good advice on feeling "full" vs. feeling "not hungry". Sure, but.....I paint like Jackson Pollack. Is that ok with you? Hey add me, or PM me your name. If you want to be FB friends, that is. I know I'm a little abrasive at times...:crying: Cool....you're starting the true journey now. I think you're bikini ready now. By Christmas 2009 you should be "nude beach" ready! Mooseknuckle? Who? Where? Donna PM'd me that she'd be going out of town for the holidays. Or did she? Dud-duh-DUHHHHHHH
  18. Tap.....Shhhhhhhh...I don't want them getting any uppity ideas!
  19. PJTP: Merry Christmas! And Happy holidays if you celebrate something else!! You guys are the best!
  20. I like to think of it as stimulating the economy.
  21. Hey, they don't make 'em for free, ya know.....their union negotiated I have to give them $.38 / day + lunch + a bathroom break per 16 hr shift. That's cutting into my profit margin, dammit!! Well.......due to some litigation issues we have to call ours "Busster Browne" shoes. Do you have all your Christmas shopping done? Perhaps you'd like to order a pair or 7?
  22. So you could have Christmas there, then catch a flight to the states and do it all again! You're welcome! How is it that none of the ladies here knew what a "dutch oven" was? That must be a dude thing....
  23. I have 3 that live with me, and like, 8 more that I keep in a small shed. They make shoes.
  24. Well that's a "good" kind of busy Um, you might want to start checking brake lines for accidental "leaks". Just saying. It does my cynical old heart good to hear stories of Holiday cheer and goodwill. Thanks for sharing. I was starting to wonder about you, Beth.....I mean, to each his own but...... I like a "heavy, buttery" type chard too. My fave is Fat Bastard. It's kinda cheap, but it's good. Doing great! Where ya been?
