  7. I just wanted to let you know that I tried the Unjury chocolate protein shake this morning (powder), and it was AWESOME! It was much better than many of the others I tried & it went down without that chalky taste.
  8. Thanks everyone! I know now that it's ok that this is happening and that others are going through it too. It just stinks knowing I'm practically eating nothing & not losing like I want. I know this too shall pass & can't wait for my 1st fill on Sept 15th!!
  9. I was banded on August 1st and have lost almost 13 lbs. The 1st week, which was full liquids, I dropped weight like crazy. I started mushies this past Monday and the scale hasn't moved since. I'm following my doctor's diet/advice to a tee AND I'm walking briskly on my treadmill every other night. The scales still isn't moving. Is this normal?? I'm so disappointed.
  10. Hi Nan! I had the surgery on Aug 1st with Dr. Ewing...I LOVE HIM! He did a great job and I'm feeling wonderful! I'm almost down 13 lbs and I'm thrilled. If you want to know anything else, PM me. Good Luck!!
  11. The Pure Protein Bars are also sold in Walmart & they are delicious!!
  12. Walmart makes their OWN brand of sugar free syrup & it's delicious!!
  13. I had surgery with Bc/BS as my insurance co and I didn't have to pay a penny!! Good luck to you!
  14. My doctor says I can have 1 cup of coffee per day, but it doesn't count towards my total liquid intake
  15. I just started mushies & had orientation about it today and they said not to exceed 4oz at any meal. I guess each dr is different. Good luck!:biggrin2:
  16. My stomach went down to naormal size in about 5-6 days. I didn't have any bad gas problems, but I bought the Gas X strips just in case. I have to say that walking was the best remedy for getting rid of my gas.
  17. I love your post Leslie...Thanks!!
  18. I got banded Friday & the dr fixed a hiatal hernia I didn't know I had while he did my band. You'll be fine...good luck!
  19. Hi All! I was banded yesterday morning and I feel great! My stomach is sore in spots, but otherwise all is good. They even fixed a hernia I didn'y know I had. I have had no gas problems as of yet, so I'm thrilled. I've been walking since they let me do so in the hospital, and I have to say that walking makes me feel better than lying down. So far, so good. I'm drinking Gatorade and will probably try some broth tonight. I'll keep you posted on my progress!
  20. My port site is sore and that's probably the worst of my pain. I actually didn't have any "gas issues" or pain as of yet. I had a little in my shoulder but I walked it off. Keep in touch!!
  21. Hi Friends! I just wanted to update everyone on my surgery. I had it yesterday morning (they also fixed a hernia I didn't know I had). Anyway, it wasn't bad at all! I got up as soon as I was able to and walked and waked and walked. That helped SOOO much! I'm a bit sore, but I know that will get better. I slept on my recliner because it was hard to get in & out of bed. But so far, so good!! I'll keep you posted! :wink2::thumbup:
  22. Hi All! my surgery is Friday morning & I'm SOOO excited but getting nervous. Please wish me luck & keep me in your prayers. I'll write back as soon as I can after surgery. Thanks!!
  23. Becky- That is SOOOO wonderful! You should be so proud of yourself. You're an inspiration to me!
