There is a a soy Protein called textured vegetable Protein of TVP for short. You can buy it at bulk barn. You add Water or broth to it and it soaks it up and looks like ground beef. You can add it to Soup, Pasta, make tacos pretty much anything because it is flavored by what you add it to

I take it and love it. It gives you energy and I lost weight when I started taking them too. Only thing I can say if you start taking them is take it in the morning or you'll have trouble sleeping (seriously gives you energy)

I'm only a few days ahead of you on April 29th

May 2nd for me, I start the liquid diet April 18th. Feeling calm about it right now.

I'm new to this forum and a bit nervous. I'm set for surgery the 29th of April I've done my cardiac clearance sleep study and all I need is my labs and physician clearance. This will a surgery to remove my lap band and he will be doing the sleeve. I got the band in 2011 and lost 100 lbs but after having a baby, it's just not working anymore. Good luck to everykne

You will be so happy with it today I feel normal not much pain showered got ready feeling really good and down 41lbs since pre op diet starred so happy with my decision had a few days I had buyers remorse but they passed quickly! @@Bohemian

For sure I just had RNY on the 4th and I'm just getting past all the frustration lol but I'm starting to feel good and get my energy back I've lost 13lbs since the 4th and 39 all together

What was your start BMI? I have questions about low bmi starters of you wouldn't mind me asking you some things privately ? This has to do with my own surgery and what to expect

I am having surgery 4/23 in Mexico with Dr. Alvarez at Endobariatric in Piedras Negras.
WOW... that is the first time I mentioned it to someone (or some place) other than my mother.

I'm in Edmonton too, but I just had RNY through the clinic.

Howdy! I'm Jennifer from Edmonton. Glad to see some Canucks here! I'm having VSG in Tijuana on April 29th. Can't wait!!!

In Kingston (actual surgery will be in Toronto) just finished up my appointments with both the Dietician and Social Worker. Waiting for the pre-surgery class dates now.
Things are moving along rather smoothly since I adjusted my diet and exercise habits prior to attending my first orientation class to show them that I'm motivated.

4 days and then home

Am also in Edmonton had my sleeve in Mexico 3/29 in Mexicali. Home now an felling great good luck to you both.
