  2. So I have a weird question. How long did you guys wait to have sex? My surgeon never said anything about waiting so many weeks. I'm assuming that it's 4 to 6 weeks? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  10. When I had mine removed it was a simple recovery. And my surgeon compared the recovery to having you gallbladder removed. You may have some additional pain but I wouldn't think that much. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  29. I went to my consultation today and it was really nice. I had a great experience with the staff they were very pleasant-busy but really sweet. I am going to be having the gastric sleeve I have been thinking of going to the bypass but that was thrown out today after Dr. Hodgett said it really wasn't the best option for me. Tomorrow is a super busy day I will be going to psychological and nutritional evaluation plus getting an EKG, Chest x-ray, and blood work. I would like to have done it all today but it just wasn't possible. Thankfully my sister came with me and because the next monthly group support meeting is still two weeks away they will submit my stuff to insurance and get it approved. I can't wait to go to the meeting just to get a good idea of what is going to happen and what to expect when I get to the hospital. So today was really good. The surgeon answered all of the lingering questions I had without me asking really anything. My next appointment will be my pre op and I am beyond excited. I didn't realize how big that place was but I called from the lobby and the office staff walked me through getting on the right elevator and some of the people that were standing listening to me give landmarks said come with me I am headed there now. I'm directional deficient is a nice way my husband puts it. All in all I really loved my experience with the surgeon and his staff. #gettingsleeved Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
