  7. I found Gatorade was easier to keep down and they prescribed Ondansetron for the nausea until I can get seen by my Gastroenterology doctor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm on the same boat. I was sleeved in late April. I saw my GP on Friday and she said that it could be a stricture. Basically it's when your stomach heals but the hole entering your stomach is too small. The only way to fix it is to get a balloon dilation. Apparently it's not uncommon. I've seen multiple people here with the same symptoms and all have said the same. I was really worried until I spoke to my doctor. Try to stay as hydrated as you can and go see your doctor. 9. Hello mermaidgirl! I'm also a Floridian! I was sleeved in late April and it's been a heck of a journey. This site/app has been awesome and there are tons of really knowledgeable people. Keep in mind everyone's journey is different but you found a very supportive group here. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
  10. I was sleeved at the end of April and have been experiencing the same. I saw my GP on Friday and she suspected the same. I'll be visiting my Gastroenterology doctor to confirm and may schedule a balloon dilation if it comes down to it. Be careful with dehydration. I was hospitalized once already because I couldn't get enough liquids in and I kept vomiting. Stay strong. We will get through this. ???? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App

  12. I'm in the Pembroke Pines area. What step are you in? Have you chosen a surgeon? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
  13. I did the same. My insurance wouldn't even consider me. I ended up doing the surgery in the Dominican Republic and payed 8500 out of pocket. The surgery was scheduled 2 months after I contacted my doctor and the only reason it took that long was because of my work schedule. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
  14. Hi ssflbelle! Yes I'm a complete newbie and am having a bit of a hard time recovering and getting back to normal. It's been rough and most times I regret it until I step on the scale and see the numbers drop. The meetup in Orlando is being held by an instagrammer by the name of Joy_In_the_Journey. I'll attach a screenshot. I think it would be amazing to have a support group down here. It'd be nice to have people to meet up with semi regularly who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. I have been looking for people near me that are on the weightloss surgery journey since way before my surgery. I'm sure there are plenty of people on the same boat. I'll look up info on starting a group and let you know what I find. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
  15. I had this problem as well. It freaked me out and I was in and out of my doctors office. They said my pylori was narrow and it was a strain for things to get by it. I had to have a dilation for me to finally be able to eat and drink without the nausea and regurgitation feeling Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App What is a dilation? 16. Hi! I'm recently sleeved (April 27,2016) and am in the Pembroke Pines area. I'm looking for people to connect with that are on the same path. Are you going to the meet up in Orlando? Marlene
  17. I just need some advice on how to keep some sort of liquid down. I don't want to go back to the hospital. Has anyone else gone through something similar? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App

  20. Hey everyone, I need some help. I haven't been able to keep anything down for a few weeks now and was recently hospitalized for dehydration. I try to get my liquids in as much as possible but because I'm constantly vomiting nothing seems to stay. I'm really getting worried. As much as I also try to get my Protein in I can only manage a couple sips a day. I was put on anti nausea medicine but it doesn't seem to help. I get tired after minimal activity and need to sleep all of the time. I thought my Multivitamins and b12 was supposed to help combat that. Though I've lost 40 lbs I'm still kind of regretting this surgery. I feel like this isn't normal. Does anyone have any advice? I'm really at a loss here. 21. I feel the same. I'm five weeks out and I'm also getting sick everyday. I went to my doctor after being hospitalized, for dehydration since I couldn't keep anything down, and she says that it's normal for some people to feel this way. It's completely frustrating. I guess it's true when they say everyone heals differently. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App
