  1. Congratulations! Many blessings and speedy recovery your way!
  2. Congratulations! I'm glad your surgery went well!
  3. Congratulations! I hope all is well with you!
  4. @@pattycaketoo, Congratulations! How are things going for you?
  5. @@rico31286, I would suggest to try to do your surgery within the same year. If you start in January, finish within that year otherwise, if you start in the middle or toward the end of the year, you run the risk of your insurance premiums going up. If you do it in the winter, you can still workout indoors. I use YouTube alot and do walking exercises. Leslie Sansone and Jessica Smith are my go to gals.
  6. Wishing you the Best... I go in Dec1st. the Day after you... AND I'm beyond Nervous! Wonderful! Congratulations for your upcoming surgery! Many blessings to you and let us know how it goes!
  7. This was a really good post. I learned alot from this. My takeaway is that, you have to do the work no matter what and take time to listen to your body.
  8. I think you should let them know it's your choice. You are doing it for you and it is BY FAR AN EASY WAY OUT. When people say things like that, it's because they don't know and are ignorant (no offense to your co-worker) in this subject area. And that's fine, but the HARD part is being consistent. Not everyone is disciplined on being consistent. That is the hardest thing to do and it's a life long decision. Just my two cents...

  14. @@genn, look at you being pushy. It paid off. Save room for me on the loser's bench. I wish I knew when my surgery date is going to be. Sheesh!
  15. I see my surgeon tomorrow for my pre-op and if all goes well surgery date is Dec 12! Have a great day! Best of luck to you today!
  16. @@jcee21, Congratulations on your decision to get WLS!
  17. @@Djmohr, how many calories can you eat after surgery 6 months - 1 year out? Gastric Bypass or Gastric Sleeve?
  18. @@startinganewme, congratulations! try walking more and I'm glad your feeling better.
  19. Congratulations! Many blessings your way and to all!
  20. @@JaneDarcy, another thing you want to do is to learn how to listen to your body. there's a difference between being full and satisfied and knowing what physical hunger, regular hunger, and what a craving is. I know you know what the differences are, just wanted to reiterate it again: Physical hunger - growling noise you and maybe someone else can hear it. hungry - you will eat and wait to eat the right foods, (you can battle this with water), and you don't want a specific junk food or drink craving - you want a specific junk food you can do a cleanse to help you fight off the craving. I use ParaGuard by Zahler nutrition.
  21. @@nikita30, you might want to ask your surgeon if you can take some sleeping aid to be on the safe side. Are you still in pain? If so, sometimes pain will keep you awake.
  22. @@Redmaxx, Nice! Only 20 minutes.
  23. @@txvsg, now I need to be disciplined at tracking before I eat?!. Sheesh!!! Good idea though at least I won't feel too guilty about eating a tortilla chip or 2.
