  1. Very true. I feel like I got diagnosed late which was only March 25, 2016. I've had years of irregular cycles, and been on birth control for at least 20 years or so until I had my son in 2008. I am now 36. Dr's would say its just fibroids. All in all they finally saw the cysts about 2 weeks ago. So, I got my tubes tied on March 29th 2016 and will be done with birth control for ever. Using depo as a backup. Depo shot should wear off in three months, I hope. I may go ahead and give my body a break for a while and I hope to get sleeved before end of this year or when I've gotten a good grasp on low carb lifestyle. 2. Yes! We're in the same boat for dinner. We eat out on occasion, too, but when I'm at home, I do well. Please don't say the "M" word, I had to be sent to Mickey D, rehab for their delicious coffee, apple and strawberry cream pie, and butter biscuits. Lol! As far as Water, I drink between 64 and 72 oz a day and it doesn't help with snacking all the time, but some times it does. ???? I'm 36 BTW. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  3. Thank you so much. I'm glad I'm not alone with this PCOS stuff. ????. I definitely want the surgery, but it's tough to cook for them and eat my food. Wondering if I should do love carb for the whole family. ????. I guess it wouldn't hurt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hi everyone, What else can I eat for Breakfast besides, meat, eggs, and Protein shakes? Breakfast and snacking is my area of weakness. I'm still teetering between being a self pay and using my insurance. A part of me is saying let's pay and get it over with and the other side of me is saying let's go long and slow, but I do know that I need to buckle down and get serious. I'm blessed to not have any comorbid conditions at 5'4, 235lb. However, I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and taking metformin. I've read on other message boards that I may not need weight loss surgery because a low carb lifestyle will take care of this condition , but I also read that when you go off of metformin, it will make you gain weight again. So far, I've been on Metformin for 2 weeks 500 mg twice a day. Happily not gaining weight, and have lost 2 lbs. I hope I can do this for a lifetime. Need some inspiration. 5. So, I just found out that the nutritional visits are for us to lose weight. But, can you be denied if you don't lose weight or if you gain weight? True Results won't take me until I have a 43 BMI?! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  8. That's awesome. Insurance companies can be slow. Praying your approval comes through soon. I have BCBS of Michigan through my employer in GA. I hear it may take a few weeks for them to process. Rooting for you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  9. Hi there, I'm going through True Results in Atlanta and it seems like I was to wait until my BMI goes up a little above 40 because they claim the insurance company will kick me off the program if I lose weight. I'm still in the early stages. But, I'm being patient so far. From what I've heard, they have been pretty good about submitting paperwork on time. 10. Hi everyone, I am super new to this forum and the process of weight loss surgery. I went to two different facilities in Atlanta, GA. True Results and Johns Creek Surgery. Both seemed great, and both are telling me that I don't have any co-morbidities. I am 5'4 and weigh 230 lbs. They said my BMI is not high enough to start the nutritional process if I use my insurance. I must wait until I get around 237 or 240 lbs. Is this right? So, in the meantime, I am exercising 5 days a week and now I'm attempting to eat healthy. Can I go on a high Protein diet while I wait to start the nutritional appointments? And, I've been exercising for 4 weeks straight and the scale is consistently going up since the end of last year. I'm a severe sweet eater and I have been working to control these urges by eating meat, eggs, Protein shakes, and fruit. Your help is appreciated...????
