What happens if I am denied? Please help.

@@Carolyn2167 It is an exclusion from my health insurance policy. That is why it isn't covered. I had to find alternate ways to get my surgery covered. Amy

    Anyone in education getting sleeved?

I too am a teacher I had to take10 says off. When I went back I had to carry around a Protein shake and I also had to drink tea. My blood sugar would get low. That was the most difficult thing. It is mentally difficult. Be prepared! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G530AZ using the BariatricPal App

What happens if I am denied? Please help.

My insurrance denied my surgery. I went to my states local vocational rehabilitation office. They have a program to help bariatric weight loss surgery. They paid for my surgery. It was affecting my ability to work full time. Check yours out. We are in Kentucky. Hope it helps. Amy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G530AZ using the BariatricPal App

    I need to get creative!

I lost 12 lbs week one. I drank Isopure during that second week... it was difficult mentally.... I am almost 47 lbs down and at 5 months post op. Good luck... when you begin eating and drinking Protein shakes ... I like the EAS whey powder.. I'M A PURPLE CONTAINER. I mix 2 scoops with a little keifer, ice and fruit. It gives about 45 g of protein and it will take about 2 to 4 hours to drink it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G530AZ using the BariatricPal App

    Blood thinner shots after?

It is not that bad. Just think of it as an insurance policy against blood clots. PE Clots are no fun. It can also be helpful if you get a close family member to help give you the shots. You will not feel alone! God Luck and God Bless! This will help you get better fast!'
  8. I am sorry that you are feeling this way. I have had the same experience with my mother. I decided that I was doing this for me and no one else. I scheduled my surgery, told my best friend and didn't tell my mother. She knew I was considering it... but she didn't know until after I had it. I did it for me and no one else. Praying for peace on your journey.

Do just as your doctor says. Eat on a schedule if you aren't hungry: set amounts at set times. Your body needs fuel even if you aren't hungry.
