Take a deep breath...get back on track...most of all take a deep breath when you are stressed or upset and think about your choices. Our emotions have ruled our life in making poor eating decisions. You can do this...just learn from it and move on. We are all lesrning our new life and having to make life changing adjustments! Good luck to you honey. We are here for you!

Good luck to you!! We all respect your decision. It is life changing. I am 3 weeks post surgery, and thankful I did it. I am 60 years old and my window was getting slim for a change. Dont know how I will feel tomorrow...but today I am grateful. Best wishes!!!

I knew when i went in for my psyc eval. thst it would be 2 hours of written questions (multiple choice) and an hour talking to the psy. Doctor. It only took me an hour written test and 10 minutes talking. Just be honest. Some questions seemed really dumb to me but I just answered honestly. My understanding is there is no pass or fail. They just want to make sure you are emotionally ready for the upcoming changes. You will be fine...I was very nervous...then laughed when I got home. The questions were all over the place. Just a part of our journey. Let me know when you are done with it!!! Good luck...but you will do great!!!

Thank you - I don't know why this is the "scariest" part for me... additional counseling isn't a horrible proposition, I've just gone through so many years of it, even at an eating disorder clinic for binge eating disorder. I have a good support system at least, hopefully he focuses on that.

@@Qwalla thank you <3 when I had the lap band done I just remember that in my psych eval the doc was really annoyed that I was "so young" and getting it done and basically made me promise to go to al-anon and therapy, but I don't remember the questions. When I went in to the eating disorder clinic I had the hundreds of questions booklet and a pretty in depth analysis after that - I'm a perfectionist, type a, etc.

Awesome and good luck to you. I am almost 3 weeks post op and doing well also. Now on to a healthy productive happy life!!!

I had several pages of test questions and a few minutes talking to the psyc dr.

You should check with your doctor. He had me stop my restless leg syndrome before durgery and still doesnt want it restarted.

My sleep apnea doctor tried me on gabpentin a few months ago. It helped a little but not that much. I wanted to be on as few meds as possible before surgery so I stopped them and honestly haven't noticed much difference. My surgeon told me to stay off them for awhile. Dont think I will restart them. I hate meds...I do have a few I have to take. I have psoriatic arthritis. We will see in a few months. Good luck to you.

No not at all. He must be interested cause he asked you out. Don't worry about it..you are human and sometimes we nake decisions that might not be the best when we are caught off guard. If he is a nice guy I am sure he will understand. If not...move on. You seem like a sweet lady and I am sure great things will come your way.

I guess I would just be truthful. If it does work out I personally would want to start out truthful. If he choses not to like you because of it...then he probably isn't a good fit. That is just my opinion. I am a stickler for truth versus lies. It is deal breaker for me. If you see him again...I personally would explain to him he caught you off guard and then tell him the truth. We all handle things in our own way...and that is just my humble opinion. Oh so sorry sweetie. Time to be a strong women and realize you are worth so much more than that. That isn't love in any way shape or form. Please dont let him destroy you or your child. You both deserve so much more. Make a clean break and get the negative out of your life before surgery. Surround yourself with supportive good people that will lift you up not tear you down. Life is way too short for that. You will always find support here. Start today...find the strength..you can do this!! Healthy supportive thoughts and encouragment sending your way. Nobody deserves that!!
