Is there any diagnosis that can keep you from getting the surgery?

That's a good question. I look forward to hearing some of the responses. My psych eval is scheduled for Sept 8th.

Well if your psychologist determins you're not ready psychologically or if God forbid one of your results comes out with something serious than it might be postponed but not canceled. At least not to my knowledge. You're getting sleeved doll don't worry! I was the same way "what if something happens and I get my surgery cancelled or what if my insurance gets canceled?!" Which it did but I was already approved so I was sleeved. Well it was changed not completely cancelled o won't lie to you. Don't worry girl you got this.

That's good to know! Thanks I am pretty nervous but extremely excited at the same time!

No worries girl. It's really not bad. My psych. Only asked me a few questions just to make sure I understood exactly what I was doing. It's really simple. At least my guy(I'm in NY) If you qualify and did everything else and all you are missing is this consider yourself sleeved.

They just want to make sure you have realistic expectations and that you are aware of all the risks, as well as knowing what effort it would take.

I had several pages of test questions and a few minutes talking to the psyc dr.

That was my concern as well. I think the goal is to be sure you don't have unrealistic expectations. I plan to see a copy of mine...

You're not going to fail. Be honest. Most of us have some underlying Psych issues (depression, food addiction, etc) and they understand that.

You will be fine I was so nervous I was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive OCD and I am also not social theses are things I already knew too you will be fine good luck keep me posted
