  1. I would see the doctor, can't hurt to start the process as well as get something to help with the raw skin. Sorry you are hurting so much!
  2. I just flew to Chicago this week and I felt it while in the air but it didn't last once we were on the ground.
  3. Hugs! This is such a roller coaster ride with so many changes in our lives. Do something good for yourself tonight and give yourself a break. Hope you feel better!
  4. I say Queen Latifah and the guy from Law & Order Criminal Intent, can't remember his name.
  5. I also say stay away from the scale, it makes me crazy at times. Just keep on doing what you are doing. My weight goes down like crazy the week before my period and then the week of my period, absolutely nothing happens. I am going to just stop weighing myself the week of my period because it messes with my head so much. Isn't it amazing that even though you know in your head you are just retaining Water, how the scales number is enough to send you over the deep end!
  6. I've lost an elephants heart and a human brain
  7. I'm not sure of the benefits but I prefer mornings because I have more energy in the morning and am more likely to skip the gym in the evening.
  8. My clinic required payment of my portion by the day prior to surgery.
  9. To get to my ideal weight, I will have had to have lost 170 pounds. Seems very overwhelming but the band is an awesome tool. Nothing like being on a diet and deciding to stop, because you can't. I had surgery just over 2 months ago and the first almost 50 are gone! I get on these highs from so many NSVs that it doesn't feel so overwhelming any more. Try not to get caught up in the numbers and enjoy the ride!
  10. I cleaned out my closet this weekend getting rid of clothes that no longer fit and the final count is 27 pairs of pants & jeans and 18 tops!! I celebrated this by buying a few new outfits! WooHoo!!
  11. I don't know what they use, I would guess it would be the most current weight. This sounds terrible, but maybe load up on the fluids just before going in to get weighed so your BMI doesn't fall below the requirements.
  12. Congratulations!! Good luck with your surgery!!
  13. Mine is crazy, but the opposite of you. Mine has come twice since having surgery and both times, for the entire week prior to starting I lose weight like a crazy person. Last time it was like 7 pounds. Then I have a week of absolutely nothing! It is maddening to me.
  14. I was banded on 2/14 and I have lost 47 pounds!! WooHoo!! Good luck with your surgery!!
  15. I never wore skirts but so far since surgery I have bought two of them and a dress, must be a new found confidence.
  16. I can feel mine when I look for it, but the skin in that area is numb-like, no real feeling there.
  17. I was really rooting for Ali anyways, glad she won. I always forget about the east coast people seeing shows before us. When I saw that, I was watching it with about 15 mins left and thought, how does she know that :rolleyes2: No harm done on my end.
  18. You look great!! Congrats on your weight loss :rolleyes2:
  19. I would wear a bikini too! I have long wanted to wear one for my husband.
  20. Best of luck to you with your surgery! The liquid diet can be rough but it is so worth it once you get banded.
  21. I am a lurker. Alot of times I don't have time to post or anything more to add to some posts but I do like to see how others are doing and I can usually find answers to any questions I have & love to help out when I can as well.
  22. I have been stuck at a certain weight twice since being banded. I finally figured out that I have to shake things up with my diet & exercise. I will eat differently for a few days and increase the exercise just to break through the plateau. Also, maybe you shouldn't weigh yourself every day. I know it is hard not to do it, but it will make you crazy beating yourself up over a pound or even a few ounces here and there. My friend is a nutritionist and had me experiment with this. She had me weigh myself every hour I was awake during the day. I consistently had different weights going up as much as 2.5 pounds at certain times. She suggests only weighing yourself once a week but if need be, then every other or every third. It was hard to get used to but it does help to not stress about a few ounces here and there.
  23. Mine gets super tight around my TOM, could that be the case with you?
  24. You look great! You look so happy in the recent pic.
  25. Wow, I have a reputation!! Don't tell my DH
