  4. At this point in time, almost 5 months out and down 60 pounds, I would be re-banded after erosion, IF and ONLY IF~my Dr. would advise so. If my Dr. said yes, then I would. I do not ever want to be without my band. If for some reason that isn't an option, than I will diet and exercise my ass off for the rest of my life. Bypass is not for me!
  5. Way to go Leatha!!! You keep on rockin!
  6. Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! You keep up the great work!!! You will be at goal in no time!
  7. Hi Susan!!! Wow, I saw Bay City and almost had a heart attack!!! I am from Wharton. Sounds like you are doing great with your band!
  8. Whhooopppeeeee!!!! The scale said 268 on Saturday.... now it says 269, but that is OK with me!!! I am in the 260's!!!! HAPPY DANCE HERE!!!!

  10. Hi dt!!! Dr. Spivak is my Dr. also. Here is my story. First fill with saline... 2.7cc, I had restriction for a little while, but then after about 2 months, I was back to eating like a horse. Went in for another fill... and there was not 2.7cc in there. So, Spivak decided to go with the omnipaque. (this is what I wanted in the first place) He put in 2.7cc and it was WAY too much. So right now I have PERFECT restriction at 2.2cc!!! If you talk to the girls that are usually there to support you during your fills, they swear by it. One girl, Bobbie, has had her same fill for the past like 18 months! she is looking great. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me! Good Luck, omnipaque is a GREAT thing!
  11. welcome to you stacy!!! Nice to meet a bandster like you!!!
  12. Good Luck with what you decide Barbara, and keep us posted!!
  13. I have noticed that due to the insurance ordeal... a lot of you are considering Spiegel over Spivak... I know a you are all anxious to have surgery... but why did you choose Spivak in the first place? You are going to throw that all aside to have surgery faster with someone else? I am sure there are a lot of people that are pleased with Spiegel, but my friend is going thru a huge ordeal with him right now. Just do your research, and talk to others that have used Spivak and Spiegel. Surgery is nothing to rush into as I am sure you all know. I really hope that for all of you, the Lap Band is a success and the Dr. you choose is the right one for you. Honestly good luck and best wishes to all of you!!!
  14. Wow Kellie! You are looking great. We have been missing you around here. You get better!!! You are going to be even hotter than before!!! Heal well!
  15. Hijack~ That is awesome shackdog!
  16. For those of you seriously concerned about it... really, it is all how YOU feel. I had to hold my hand over my port area for the first few weeks, just because I was scared. Not too sure that a guy will have too much of a problem... I hate to say it, but you might just have to try and see what happens. If something feels uncomfortable, then stop.
  17. I got to keep my panties and pad on. Just check with your Dr.! You will be fine!
  18. The band is stiched in place... it isn't just floating around in your belly.
  19. sounded a little 'preachy' to me...
  20. You will be there in less than 2 weeks I bet!!!
  21. Holy Cow Tricia!!! You are almost in "Onederland"!!!!
  22. You guys are doing great!
  23. I can't believe no one has answered you seminole!!! I will answer your questions about the ladies... Sex is definitely better, and I didn't think it could be. I have lost 58 pounds since banding, and we can both tell!!! I wouldn't say I am more sexual since I have always been very sexual... but positions are a lot easier and more varied now. Hope a guy will answer your other questions!!! Good Luck!
