  1. No, they ask you which one you want. They will answer your questions, but it's your choice. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  2. Yes could prevent or delay surgery. They want to know you're serious and this is a life long change Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. Wow I had surgery on May 11th wish I looked that good!!! Way to go you look great !! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. I was encouraged to start losing and if I gained that could prevent me from having the surgery. Dr Varnell was my surgeon. He was great! My insurance didn't require a 6 month monitored diet. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. It's really dependent upon your insurance. The program wants you to learn and put to use the information they provide. You'll want to follow everything they say. This was the best decision I've ever made for myself and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I know all the appointments seem over kill, but you'll be glade you went to them. You need to develop the skills and discipline to maintain. WLS is not a permanent fix. You can gain your weight back. Try to start losing weight before your surgery. I wish I lost more prior. At my first appointment with Dr Kirk on 1-18-16, I weighed in at 299. My surgery was on May 11th, and surgery weight was 274. Today, almost 4 months post op, I weigh 218. Words can't describe how happy I am with this decision. Bailey has a great team and program. Just do everything they say, and watch your life change. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. I just got home from the hospital and I can't keep anything down. I need to take my pain and nausea pills. I throw them back up if I take them on an empty stomach. I have tried several different broths that I liked prior to surgery. When will things taste normal again? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  7. Welcome blondie!!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. I started with Bailey on January 18th. That was my orientation. My surgery is scheduled for May 11. Not sure on the drain. I do my pre op with the surgeon on April 25th Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Does your lady feel safe? (what do women want?)

Interesting thread. Next week will be my one year anniversary for my divorce. I'm still not ready to date. I have a hard time trusting men. I haven't dated for over 12 years, and the new dating world is extremely overwhelming. I hear all these horror stories about meeting men online and it terrifies me. Now as an adult, I realize how brave I was in my early twenties. I tried the online dating scene briefly, but really didn't like it. Most men came on way to strong. Clearly not looking for a relationship but only hook ups. I would like to meet someone who can carry on a conversation and not expect anything. I talked to a guy online and really enjoyed the conversation of history, politics, travel, etc. until he asked if I like to "please myself". Seriously??
  10. Bought mine this weekend. Trying tomorrow
