So this was me, circa November 2015, picture taken against my will by a friend, he sent this to me this morning, had no clue it existed.

And this is me this morning. I have lost 105pounds so far.

Not at goal......but working in the right direction and feeling great about the decision to have the sleeve surgery.
The day before October 2015 VSG & hernia repair.
Wearing and old stretched out 6xl t-shirt.

10 months out of VSG & hernia repair.
Trying on a brand new 2xl t-shirt.....over the shirt I was already wearing.

I'd join FB but I do prefer secret group. I'm not telling many people.

Thats how Ive seen other people do it, they keep it secret and anyone that wants to join they add as a friend on fb then invite them to the page and then delete them on their own fb page. I'll wait to do it that way because im not telling anyone so I dont want people to see that i joined this group on fb.

Hey guys. I'm turning 40 tomorrow and having the surgery on May 18th. Been back and forth on this decision for over 5 years and finally pullin the trigger.
Would really appreciate a buddy or 2 or 3 to go through this with. Anyone up for supporting a 40 year old male nurse through the process. I'm also willing to help any who need it.

Just over fIve months post op, down 107 lbs. WOHOO!!

One year Surgiversary yesterday. Started at 350lbs, now 161 lbs.

Best decision I have ever made!

Here are a couple more before/after.
Before - 380lb

Current - 228lb

Before: 340 lbs
Currently: 164 lbs

2 years gone by, 140 lbs off, best decision ever. First photo is with my aunt at me wedding 3 years ago, second is current. Good job to everyone in maintenance mode, and best of luck to those just beginning! Trust me, it's worth it.
