Sips/ loop day
This. Healthy eating and good nutrition is more than lean protein and pills, WLS or not.

Sips/ loop day
Well, one doesn't need to eat healthy to lose weight. To lose weight you have to be in a calorie deficit. You can lose or gain weight while eating healthy and you can lose or gain weight while eating unhealthy, it all depends on calories. I don't know what kinds of food you typically eat and what you'd consider a "healthy diet". What I know is that what constitutes a healthy diet depends on the diet philosophy a person is following or what the person thinks the ideal diet should look like. Don't be more strict than necessary. Just creates compliance problems.

Never hit goal weight now I’m at pre weight
Don't make the same mistakes again. What exactly do you think went wrong the first time?

Go to meal
If I'm really not wanting to prepare a meal but want something warm to eat: - microwave rice with Japanese spice mix on top (add some microwaved frozen veg to it and/or tofu), top with a bottled sauce if desired. - scrambled tofu is a really quick meal, maybe fry some onions with it, eat with flat bread - oven roasted vegetables with a yoghurt based dip needs some time because of the roasting but it only takes a few minutes of work If I don't want something warm: - some sort of veggie cold cuts and varieties of bread, eat with pickled and/or raw vegetables

That's Mr. Jack - ROFL.

Food Before and After Photos
The Asian grocery store has canned jackfruit but I don't know if that is canned in sweet syrup or in brine. I have to take a look next time I shop there.

Food Before and After Photos
Didn't try it so far as a meat substitute. I recently got this from the grocery store but haven't tried it yet.

Food Before and After Photos
Dried jackfruit is lightly sweet. So when dried it's not really meat substitute.

READY TO THROW IN THE TOWEL
Hmmmmmmm, fact is that you have no choice but continue trying because a large part of your stomach has been cut out. So the option of "not trying at all" is simply not available. Even if you should opt for eating only junk food from now on your portion sizes will still be limited for a whole while and will (usually) never go back to what they were even though you will be able to eat more during the next months to come. I'm not really sure what's bothering you the most. Is it the fact that you feel like you can't eat your favorite foods? Or is it the small amount of food you can eat? Is it a felt mismatch between effort/discomfort and weight loss? Is it that you feel like this isn't working because you see so many other users lose way more weight in the same time with the same effort? I personally think the time between significant weight loss that reassures you that maybe, maybe, maybe you can reach that goal of yours and still having major food inconveniences (so to say) is the worst. And what's making the worst even worse is: the comparing. Comparing makes us doubt our own success a lot and this board makes it really, really easy to compare and feel like sh*t when you fall short of the amount of weight that has been lost or the BMI that has been reached. Unfortunately as much as the mantras "don't compare your journey to that of others" and "this is a marathon not a sprint" are being written down here: this does feel like being in a sprint/race and people compare like crazy. Unfortunately comparing can't be shut off like a switch.

Plateaus
Be patient. That's about the only suggestion right now, especially since your team already said that everything seems to be normal.

Bacon....
That's basically the only way you're going to stick to this long term: find out what works for you.

Food Before and After Photos
Food for work tomorrow. Pumpernickel bread with a vegan spread, cucumber, cashews, dried jackfruit, papaya and sour cherries, leftover rice.

Food Before and After Photos
Quickyquick meal: Uncle Ben's microwave rice with a Japanese spice mix ("Furikake") on top and Alnatura's lentil burgers out of the oven. Couldn't eat it all. Rice is way too filling for me.

Well, not really "delicious" - lol.

Food Before and After Photos
From what I see on the packages it looks more saucy than the Handi Rice. Handi Rice is more... "dry". More like fried rice but not as oily. The water is fully absorbed.

Not sure if that was directed at me but since I'm the one who posted the working day meal: I'm a radiologist/neuroradiologist working at a hospital of maximum care.

It's a Yumbox I ordered from amazon. You can choose between four compartments or five compartments. You can also order just the inlay so you can change it but I have an older BentGo children's lunchbox and don't like these five compartments that much. They're too small to pack away a regular sandwich. Four compartments are just right for my everyday use.

It's like these cup-a-noodles only that it's rice instead of noodles with freeze dried vegetables and a little sachet with a little spiced oil in it. Mix it with boiling water, stir and eat a few minutes later when all the water has been absorbed. I usually have it in my desk sitting at work as an emergency meal together with single portions of mymuesli, protein bars and microwaveable rice (like Tilda's coriander & lime or Uncle Ben's curry rice) or canned vegetables in some sauce (from the Turkish market).

I think I also have some leftover Handi Rice now, lol. Craved this junky stuff like crazy tonight and now the portion is sitting half eaten on the counter.
