  1. I also had my MGB on 24/05.
  2. Thanks for the explanation but this isn't answering my question. E. g. someone likes one of three posts I made in a thread. Is there a way to see which one of the three posts someone liked? I'd like to know what people liked.
  3. Thanks for your answer. It always feels good to know that you're not alone with certain things. I had some cold sweats about 20 min after eating and felt very weak. That's when I thought it could be early dumping after all. I drank a chamomile tea after vomiting and my stomach settled again. Today I ate twice so far and it feels fine. Not sure if I should risk a protein shake today.
  4. Our NUTs told us to expect hair loss at about 6 months post surgery, seems to be pretty common.
  5. Me neither. The NUTs at the obesity center also don't recommend calorie counting. They set a Protein goal and what Vitamins and minerals to take and make suggestions how to reach these goals. They also recommend full fat products and to ditch the dieting stuff. I was a bit surprised reading so much about calories here.
  6. I think the chung shi dux are even better (had real crocs before), especially the dux sensitive (I have both and the sensitive are even thicker and provide more cushioning).
  7. I saw notifications that someone liked one of my posts in a certain thread. When clicking on the note I'm directed to the thread but not to the post that was liked? Is there a possibility to find out which of the several posts it was that someone liked?
  8. I think you just confused me with Heather. I would have told that woman a thing or two about scolding me. (I'm an M.D. so I talk to patients myself.) Disclaimer: I don't know in which way Heather was "chastised". There is criticism in the way of "Hummmm, that wasn't the best choice you could have made but I understand things happen, we're all human and everyone slips from time to time" and there is criticism in the way of "Oh NO, how could you have done such a thing like eating something you're not supposed to?!! You're a disappointment!"
  9. Had to vomit yesterday evening about half an hour after a protein shake. And yes, bile is really vile.
  10. Not necessarily. Maybe he/she is just one of the lucky ones. I know several people like this. They simply don't have to really watch what they eat. Either because they have not that big of an appetite and are satisfied with a relatively modest amount of food or because they have fast metabolisms. Some of them actually appreciate how lucky they are and would never look at fat people when they see them eating a cookie like they just drowned a little kitten or two. The other ones act like it is the biggest accomplishment of their lives staying skinny while gorging on food. Sometimes I don't know if to think "a***hole" or "poor thing" when it comes to these people.
  11. Seems to be different with everyone. Even after my lapband was removed I felt satiation from eating a protein cookie. Talk ing about 36g of protein here though. I doubt I could eat more than one (if that) now that I have an Omega Loop.
  12. Really? Warranted? Chastised because of a single cookie? I sometimes wonder what NUTs expect. Robots or something who always function perfectly?
  13. I think protein bars or cookies are "worth" it when it comes to protein content, depending on the bar or cookie. They're convenience food and yeah of course fresh is better but we're all human beings with time schedules and cravings. Trying to be holier than the pope never worked out for me in the end.
  14. That's only because us fatties are that weak that even the "easy way out" doesn't work, ya know?
  15. Yes, that's so interesting. I got my second surgery because of horrible reflux all the time (taking my PPI religiously and nevertheless had developed a benign lesion in the lower esophagus that had to be removed) and when someone asks I tell them I had reflux and hernia repair surgery. Well, technically I had. I had anti-reflux surgery and an axial hernia was repaired. Nobody was like "OMG, you shouldn't have surgery!" Everyone was like "Ok, if it's that bad it's the right decision to get surgery."
  16. Yesterday I drank some Protein shake and my stomach was just fine with it. Today I drank the same Protein Shake and a few minutes after drinking it I felt nauseated. It's getting better now after drinking some other Fluid half an hour later but I'm not entirely feeling good right now. I wonder if this was early dumping though I'm not sure why yesterday it was fine and today it wasn't. I already had this experience two days ago. Both times the same food and in the morning it wasn't ok, in the evening I tried again and I felt perfectly fine. Anyone else has this problem?
  17. The information sheet given to patients at the hospital I got surgery at say that diet pop is ok as long as you stir out the bubbles. (Meh, that's what I loved not only about diet pop, carbonated Water tastes so much better, oh well...)
  18. Hi there, new member here from Germany. I recently had Omega Loop surgery because my Lapband had to be removed in February. I'm only a few days post surgery so far.
