Stephen and Kelli -- I know what you mean!!! I had my first fill form Debra yesterday and it was great!! The only difference was she picked me up from the airport and drove me to have my fluoroscopy and fill. I required 3cc I'm so glad I had it under fluoroscopy because of it being my first fill I'm not sure any one would have put that much in with out seeing anything less would not have giving me any restriction. Debra was so nice and helpful with all my questions. She stated my port was not hard to find and the next time she will be able to do it in the office if I wanted to. Since my insurance will pay for the fluoroscope I think I'm going to keep doing it that way hopefully it will cut down on the number of fills for me. I'm form SC and it was so worth the plane ticket and 299.00 for my first visit, next time it will be 155.00 and my plane ticket of around 200.00 that is still cheaper than getting a fill done here without fluoroscope!!! SO anyone thinking about a fill center go to Debra in Nashville TN she was great!!!! Mindy Columbia SC

Has anyone had a fill at the TN fill office? If so what do you think about them?

No money was exchanged -- That makes me kinda think they were not going to see me at all anyway. She told me on the phone 2 weeks ago whe i asked her why was a fill 500 for out of counrty and 200 for out of state, she said because they price it that way to discourage out of counry patient from coming there.

Well I’m back from what was going to be a great and happy appointment with my first fill and it turned out to be one of the worse experiences I have ever had. I had an appointment at 11:00 (the appointment was made by the office manager herself while on the phone disputing a charge they quoted me earlier. Their office quoted me 200.00 in an email for a fill which should have been 500.00, she did not know Mexico was a country she thought it was a state.) After I agreed to pay the 500.00 she told me to come on in and made me an appointment for today. I go into the office with a friend, hand the receptionist my paper work, insurance information, because she requested it and have a seat with my friend. Fifteen minutes past and the office manager came out and told me to step into her office. She proceeds in telling me that Dr. Givens has refused to see me because I have upset and scared their staff and because I did not bring my paper work back with me (evidently he never saw my paper work or x-rays the first time I took it into the office to even get an appointment). I told the office manager my paper work was right down the road I could go and get it she told me NO again and told me they would not see me now or ever. I was crying and was trying to figure out what in the hell was going on so I grab my pocket book and headed out the door, she told me I could not leave out the front, I told her I had a friend in the front and she could not tell me what to do. She then threaten to call security on me, I told her to go ahead, I work for a security department, she said I know where you work and I don’t think they would be please to see how you are representing them. I went back out and told my friend what was going on and she laughed because it was such a freaking joke. I asked for my paper work I had filled out she refused to give it to me because she said it was hospital property. Well after all this I’m still without a fill. Can anyone recommend a fill doctor near SC that will take Mexico lap bandster???

I received my band with Dr Huacuz on March 10th and have my first fill tomorrow!! I lost 16 pounds but have gained 5 back, but no worries I'm sure the weight will drop off and stay gone after mt first fill!!! Dr Huacuz and his staff are the best. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Good luck honey, I hope you wont have as much trouble as I'm having finding a fill doctor around here. I went to the SC Obisity center Monday with my records and teh quote for 200.00, and she told me, she did not realize Mexico was a country and not a state so the price went back up to 500.00. Dr Goodson on 378 sunset blvd agreeded to look at my charts and do my fills. I dont know what the price will be yet but he said around 200.00 and I trust him. I went to him for years after i had my daughter (she's 9 now). If I have to i could always make the drive to TN to the Fill USA Center.

Yes, you can give them 100.00 deposit and they can set the date that YOU WANT more than likely with in a week!!! It's that fast. I scheduled my surgery with in 15 days of paying my deposit of 100.00. one piece of advice have the surgery in the morning time. You have to go 24 hours with out eating or drinking any thing so I think it would be best to sleep most of that time.. :-)

His entire staff is excellent!!! I dont know what he could have offered that would have been worth paying 2000.00 more for. The surgery, hospital, hotel, aftercare, and staff were all awsome.

does it look swollen around your port? Or does it just stick out a bit?

I had my surgery on the 10th of March 2006 and my port is swollen. Does anyone know what this might mean. I sent my doctors pictures and he advised me to take IBpuprofen and put heat on it. I did this last night but it still swollen this morning. What do yall think?

It was 6500.00 for transportaion and 2 nights at the hotel. He charges 200.00 for fills, both amounts includes round trip transportation from and to the airport.

I have a question... I received my band on March 11th 2006 and I'm still swollen it feels like i have a small lump under the losest incision, is this mormal?

If you're on the pill maybe you can change your period that way???

I spoke with my doctor about this and he said "do not get a fill the week before or during your period becuase your insides swell and you will not have the same about of restriction once the swelling goes down from your period.

I called Roc Bauman and they said 400.00 for the doctor plus 270.00 for the hospital. This is a racket!!! Gonzales fee was 325.00 and 400.00 for the hospital. She did say they were trying to get the hospital to lower their fee from 400.00 to 200.00.. Thanks for all the info!!!

Yes they is they are the best!!! I would not have changed a thing. Watch out for the gas in your shoulders and walk walk walk!!! best of luck :-)

yes it is and it sux!!! I can drive to flordia or even fly with specials for the airline and get fills cheaper there!! I have 6 to 8 weeks to figure out what I'm going to do but going back to TJ is out of the question!!! ONLY BECAUSE OF THE LONG FLIGHT!!!! Everthing and I mean EVERYTHING else was wonderful from the begining of my arrival to my departure never could I have gotten that kind of care in Columbia South Carolina!!!

Did anyone pay with a credit card? If so how did you do it with out the bank charging you such a high rate for a cash advance? The Doctors office told me everone paid with Cashiers Check but when I first given all the information she informed me we could pay via credit card? Help please???
