Looking for a good PS in S. King Co. WA??
Thanks, and yes I have thought of that. Though my lap-band Dr. has a great reputation for being the best at bariatric surgery, I haven't heard great things about his plastic surgery results, so I have been reluctant to ask :-) !

Looking for a good PS in S. King Co. WA??
I am ready to have my "mommy makeover" done, but I have no idea about how to find a good PS. I live near Auburn, WA in South King County. Anybody know a good DR?

refried beans
Try dried/powdered refried beans, they taste a million times better than canned. I get a brand Santa Fe Bean Co, but I can only find them on Amazon.com, Albertsons use to carry them but not now.

Waking up with last nights dinner in your throat
But do look honestly at an unfill if you think at allt hat you may be a bit tight. Do you really think I might be too tight, I haven't had a fill in 6 months can it get tighter as you loose weight?

Waking up with last nights dinner in your throat
I am wondering if this is happening to anyone else.... every once in a while I will wake up in the morning to find that some of last nights dinner is still in my upper pouch. Does this happen to anyone else? What do you think it means? Am I eating too much or not chewing enough? I am 3 years out and have lost 125 lbs, I would hate to have anything go wrong now !

Pacific, Algona, Auburn - Workout partner needed !
I live in Pacific, I had my surgery in 8/06, I have lost 125lbs, but I need to loose the last 30ish. I haven't really exercised and I would love to find someone to help keep me accountable. I would love to find someone to walk/work out with in the evenings. Let's motivate each other !

August 2006 - Running totals and updates
I just found this forum. A few years late :-). I was banded by Dr. Oh 8/17/06, as of yesterday I am down 115.3 pounds !

Best Compliment
My best compliment came from a cashier at a store. I used a credit card and she asked for ID. I gave her my driver's license, she looked at it and looked at me and said this can't be you... you aren't even half that size !

4 year out and have issue...
Yes, I have experienced the same thing. I have been banded about 2.5 yrs and lost 115lbs, I would like to loose another 30. Back in December I had the same problem, cough, coking, spitting up at night. I had to have a slight unfill also. It's better now unless I eat to much or too late at night.

Calorie Counting...
I would do it again, I would first find out more information about the gastric sleeve, you can look up the procedure on the website, just to have more options. But I am very happy, I have lost 120 lbs in 2.4 years with very little trouble. Good Luck

Calorie Counting...
I have had my band for 2 1/4 years, and I just started having the same issues. Waking up at night choking even though I quit eating at 6:30 pm. I had a slight unfill to try to correct the problem and it worked a little bit, I sure wish I had been given the sleeve as an option to the band. Good luck !

Calorie Counting...
Can I ask why you are having a revision to the sleeve....I am considering it also.

It's been a year
Yes, I have experienced the same thing, I have had my band for 2 1/4 years. Try the suggestions from HeatherO, if this doesn't help then you probably need a slight unfill. I actually ended up having to have and EGD and the doctor found a large piece of undigested food in my pouch that would block my band opening (I think it is called the stoma) at night and cause me to cough and choke at night. So I would say definitely talk to your doctor about it as soon as you can. It is probably nothing and not eating after 7pm may be all you need to do! Good Luck !

looking for a cheaper lap band surgery
Look up Dr. Oh at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way Washington (just south of Seattle). I am a self pay also, and it cost me around $14k in 2006. Dr. Oh is very good, and is a Center for Excellence surgeon.

question?
I also had this problem for the first week after surgery, I think part of it was from the antibiotics (the type I was taking was liquid). Because as soon as I was done with it, the diarrhea stopped. Hang in there it does get better !
-
4 days since my surgery and bad diarrhea....anyone else had this?
I remember having diarrhea after surgery. But I am pretty sure mine was from the liquid antibiotic. I was back to normal as soon as I was done with the medication.

Doctors in Western Washington?
I had my surgery with Dr. Oh of St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, he doesn't have the greatest bedside manor, but they are a Bariatric Center of Excellence. I have had great results, and the rest of his staff is very good to work with !

Have you seen blood when pbing?
PB: "productive burp" -- what happens when something eaten can't go down due to restriction has to come back up (That's a quote from another thread) I found this definition in another thread.

Have you seen blood when pbing?
No, my Dr. didn't order any. I will watch my behavior and if it continues (none lately) then I will insist on some sort of test.
