  1. @@Hannahb3997 I am sorry you are going through this as well. Sure hope we will start getting better.
  2. @@Doc'sWife I understand, I was really nervous about the drain tube as well. Mine came out I think 5 days post op.
  3. Really don't worry about it, the removal was really quick... Before I could figure out what that sensation was I was feeling it was done.
  4. I never had a drain before this surgery and was also very concerned. It was kind of weird in the beginning knowing that there is a hole and this tube is coming out of it. I just made sure to use a lot of tape and taped it to my belly well so I didn't have a chance to pull it, I was just nervous. It wasn't bad... When they removed it, it was very fast and no pain just a strange sensation.
  5. @@tagyourit Welcome and congrats on surgery date! I am ex bandit myself, just freshly revised to bypass and already feel glad that I don't have band in me anymore (was never a fan of the foreign item in my body). I had the band for 9 years so it took me a while to have to guys to revise as well.
  6. Thank you... Really appreciate the support! I have been emotional for few days now, it seems to come and go during the day but today is tough.. And my poor husband has to deal with me crying all day for no reason.
  7. I am realizing that this surgery ended up being a lot harder mentally and physically than what I have anticipated (I had lap band before and didn't go through anything like this emotionally) ...I thought I was not going to be one of those people that have regrets with going through this surgery... But today those thoughts are creeping in my head.. I started blended food and struggling with getting food in and fluids in... And makes me think that I will get malnourished and will have all kinds of problems and now I am thinking to myself why did I do this to myself... I have been crying a lot and can't help it just feel defeated. I am supposed to go to work on Tuesday and I am so not ready... Please tell me it gets better soon... I am 2 weeks post op.
  8. From everything I read ( and probably everything you have read) the feelings you have will pass hang in there and I'm sure the liquid gets easier everyday. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App I am 2 weeks post op today and I am mentally not doing well. It's not so much of a buyers remorse or anything... Just everything makes me cry, it's hard to get fluids in, I started blended food and could barely finish my one meal, I feel defeated and feel I should be farther off ahead ( even though I keep telling myself I just had major surgery) mentally I am struggling, and from what I have read it's normal because the hormones are all messed up right and it can be like that for few weeks post op.... Sure hope I won't be crying all day long at work when I return on Tuesday. Hang in there!
  9. The drain doesn't hurt, there's a significant amount of stuff that drains out of it so I guess I'm glad that's coming out. They say it's a good color. I just always wonder how some doctors can get along without it and some doctors think it's a really great idea. I have come home with it. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App I had prune juice and was ok just make sure you dilute it with Water... I had 1 oz 2 times a day and it really helped to get BM goingDoes prune juice come unsweetened? I like prune juice but I've never had to read the label before Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App I have seen, we just used the 100% juice which when I was in hospital they allowed me to drink apple or grape juice which was 100% juice. I diluted it so I didn't get sick or anything
  10. Looks like it went down to 98.7 strange but good I guess.
  11. Hi all, I started the blended food today, had 2 meals one 2 oz and the other about 1.5 oz then I couldn't finish. Been working on my Water intake in between meals however this afternoon I haven't bee feeling all that great so I checked my fever and it was at 99.9. My discharge instructions said to call the dr if it's at 101... Any ideas? I have been on liquid diet for 2 weeks post op... There was no leak after surgery. Thanks!
  12. I had the drain and went home with it... Had it removed 5 days post op and it was better right away as soon as they removed it. It's a bit of pain in the &&&&
  13. I had prune juice and was ok just make sure you dilute it with Water... I had 1 oz 2 times a day and it really helped to get BM going
  14. I felt like i was constipated so I had some diluted prune juice and later that day I had BM which was a huge relief! Except it was an accident lol I was at a store and felt like I am going to pass gas.. Well it wasn't gas lol so be careful I heard this can happen
  15. It took me 3 days until I passed gas... I don't think medicine has anything to do with it because when i got home I was taking it all the time and was still able to pass it. If you are in pain, take it!
  16. This sounds like a dream! I am only 2 weeks post up, so I am definitely looking forward to it all!
  17. @@heather5565 This is so great, very well said... Thank you!
  18. You can also buy protidiet on Amazon
  19. I had same thing... Came home from hospital got to a point where I was feeling good started doing things and BAM! Felt like I got worse, went back on pain meds and started to take it easy and today finally seem to be doing better. I have to tell this to myself all the time but you do have to rest... Plus we are still weak after surgery and get tired fast. The pulling is your body healing... I actually had very bad episode yesterday where I had horrible pain where my port used to be (I am revision from bypass). I got up to get something and just burst we into tears it was that painful. Talked to the dr today they said it's the healing process and I got local pain meds patch to apply to that area. I don't like taking pain meds either but plz take it if you are in pain, it will help...
  20. For sure!I have been working on my bottle of 23 oz for over an hour and only half way down.... It's insane
  21. So far I was able to tolerate only the lemonade flavor I think it was lime time, crystal light not so much yet... Guess I have to try all different flavors. I prefer to drink water by itself too but it doesn't go down as well as if I have it mixed with something
  22. Thank you, I forgot about infusing.. I used to infuse water with sliced orange, cucumber and mint... Was very refreshing... I should try that again. Thanks for reminding me!
  23. @@sassyfrass23 I know what you mean, although I am only 2 weeks post op, I have no hunger which I could never even imagine before... Before surgery my hunger was so horrible, I mean it was just out of control... I am greatful I am not hungry but yes it makes it hard to intake the Protein and Water to meet the goal. I feel like I can finally relate to "eat to live not live to eat" I went somewhere yesterday where they brought fresh doughnuts and before surgery I would be fighting the temptation... Now I could care less... Since everything has been extra sweet to me after surgery just the thought of eating a doughnut was starting to make me nauseous... It's incredible
