    Failing at Friendship

Thank you all for the awesome words of encouragement! I am at a very low point right now. I was trying to be social and go out for dinner with some people tonight, and while waiting, I grab a table for us... everyone walked past the table I got and sat away from me. I was all alone again.. I had to get up and leave because I was going to cry and didn't want to embarrass myself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Sometimes I think transferring schools would be the best because then I could start without judgment. But I do love the school itself... i feel so defeated right now... I worked so hard to get to this point, and I feel like I should feel better about myself. But I just don't. Hey all, I am so grateful for your help and wanted to keep ya updated! I actually just reconnected with two people I used to be best friends with in high school! I figure that's a good place to start since I won't be going back to college for another few weeks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thank you bubbles! I appreciate that a lot. My "best friend" transferred schools. And even though she was toxic, at least I had someone... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Dear Vets, please don't leave us! Sure, I may be 7 months post op, but I still want and need your help! I know some people can be rude and respond to criticism poorly, but there are so many of us who deeply value your input! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I feel like I have no friends and am having trouble making friends... my best friend has become toxic and is moving away... I feel like I only maintained that relationship because I was scared of being alone... and now I actually will be... im 20y/o and a sophomore in college. I fell like people passed judgment on my size last year and that's why I had no one, but I don't know what to do anymore... I don't want to be friends with people who only like me b/c I lost weight, but I am scared to be alone.... I don't mean to rant... but I'm upset and nervous and scared... anyone on this site ever have a similar experience and tips? (Posted this on the 20s forum but figured I'd post here too!) So my sister had the surgery the same time as me. We started at different weights (her a little less than me) and she rubs it in my face constantly that I'm "fatter." I went boot shopping and nothing fit my calfs and that was just more ammo! Idk what to do anymore... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Hi, all! I had my surgery may 2016 and am doing great!(sw 347 cw 265) However, I am still struggling trying to find a form of exercise that I actually like! In the summer I I lean towards water sports (swimming, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding,) but those are not easily accessible all the time! I am trying to find a "normal," accessible exercise routine that I actually like! I have tried YOGA and Jogging and many youtube videos, but I'm still struggling! Could I just not be using the right tools/videos? Any input is greatly appreciated!
