Incredidad13 got a reaction from Sleeve_Sistah85 in Hello
My name is Kenneth and I am currently 3 days post op after a Lap-RNY. My preoperative weight was 298 and now I sit at 293. I'm sure it's mostly Water weight. I have had no issues so far and overall feel pretty good for 3 days postoperative. The majority of the pain I am feeling is from the remaining pockets of gas from insuflation but it's not completely unbearable. I'm supposed to start puree foods today but I am hesitant. The thought of puree food makes me ill. I almost want to just stick to Protein Shakes, Jello, broth, and popsicles until I can eat solid foods. The only craving I have so far is coffee. I miss it so much. Lol. That's about it for now. I look forward to reading and learning from this forum. ????

I'm so glad that you are doing great! My surgeon keep his patients with three weeks of liquid. Then to purée food.

Stay calm. It is common to take a few weeks before you begin to lose weight. Your body is in a major heal mode and allowing it to heal is the prime goal at 10 days post-op. For one thing most patients gain weight while they are in the hospital because they are pumping fluids into you. So you have to first lose this added weight before you begin to see a weight loss.
So stay calm, follow the directions (meal volume, Protein, fluids and vitamins), relax and let the magic happen.

Incredidad13 reacted to Jasmine Smith in 4 months out...
Hey guys. I try to post on a monthly basis just to keep you guys updated on my progress!!! Hopefully it's motivational for someone. Well, today marks exactly 4 months since my life changing surgery. I am down 97lbs since surgery...91lbs prior to surgery for a grand total of 188 down!!! I can not be more happier. I still have an extremely long way to go seeing that my current weight is 331lbs but it sure beats being 519lbs anyday!!!! Well wishes to all!!!
