Hi purple hope you are ok, you sound great just after your op hope all is well with the diet, may i ask if you have to do a lot of exercise, because you are a bit lder than most on here. and they say exercise is the key? but we all carn't just jump on the treadmill etc so i woundered what else we could do to aid the weight coming off without keeling over lol ha ha i have bad arthritis all over my body and i am in lot of pain but i know the op will help so my op is for health reasons and learn to eat small and sensible meals, also you mentioned you live up north, but had op done at leeds, i live at Morecambe having my at manchester spire hospital but i need to find a fill docter nearer to me you don't happen to know anyone local to me, do you? i am very nervous but can't wait to get on with my new life. kind regards li33y

I Irene, congrats on your banding i can't wait for mine, i go for all my pre-tests on the 4th and if everything is ok God willing it will be; i have op at 7.30am Sat 9th Feb yahoooooooooo. It's quite good its on weekend don't have to ask for people to get time off work, anyway hope verything goes well for you and please keep in touch best of luck Li33y.

hi jane, i'm li33y just read ur post that u live in Rochdale, well so does my sister and nice Littleburough i am always down there as she is my only sis and 17yrs older so i miss her, i live in morecambe so not far to travel. how did ur op go was it cyprus? have u lost loads of weight and how do u feel? i get my op 9th Feb manchester so nervous now, will be glad when its done and i start feeling beter. hope u mdont mind me asking u questions but there isn't many people on here who live as close as u mostly Americans kind regards li33y

Hi Ann, i'm sorry to hear u had tom have band out why? u only had a problem with ur throat not ur tummy, can u have it put bak in & will u have to pay? hope everthing is ok now how u doing with weight loss with no band?regards lizzy

Hi parvathi, did u have to pay again for ur band after slippege, or did they use same one, why do they slip? think the surgeon would stitch it all round or something lik tha hope u r ok now lizzy.

Hi jo anne, i just read ur reply to someone who is having scond thoughts, what a nice thing u said to them pray; it will help pls pray with me cause i am worried 2. i get a lot of reflux and it may get worse when i get fills, can u still loose without fills if u diet and eat healthy foods ie: protien salad veggies fruit, and will i feel fuller than without op or have i got to have fills? don't know what 2 do i have op on 9th feb slf pay lot of money if i am in pain with reflux constantly, i have gaviscone advance it's thick and coats linning of stomach it's great, also take meds? hope u can help answer my questions. Hi jazzy, could u tell me if u get bad reflux especially after a fill when u eat, or just antime. I been told a lady is in bad pain constantly i am worried sick cause i take pills for reflux now also can u take gaviscon liquid or chew tablets to line stomach and stop burning feeling, i also take pain killers vitamins and capsules my surgeon said it might be same or could get worse but i don't want to be in agony with my band and not have fills i'll never loose any weight will i? thanks lizzy.

HI yvonne, i'm Lizzy, hope u feeling ok just just a sugestion why don't u crush tabs up and put them on a spoon with milk i know they don't taste to good but they shoulden't stick also do the same with capsules but just open them amd empty them onto spoon, u should be able to swollow capsuales soon good luck Lizzy

Hi jeannie, have u had ur fill done yet? how did u get his surgeon to do fill when u didn't have op wih him? can anyone us him for privae fills? no i not had band done yet waiting for Nick to e-mail me with price etc. he foned me tuesday i have had op their bfor i had arm lift it's great no more batwings lol Dr Visek did it he is vry good i also had my upper & lower eye bags done cant wait for next op my droopy boobs, but i will wait till after i ave band fitted and loose more weight. hope u r ok pls let me know about the fills etc. kind regards lizzy.

Hi Debz, just read ur post, i am thinking of going with wga but who will u go to after for othr fills? do they give u dr's who work with them or have u to do it on ur own and go find a doc? and i worry if i get food stuck or can't swollow who do u call. ps have they done a good job? and r u loosing weight and was it worth it? kind regards lizzzy
