Just wanted to update on my mom. Her surgery went well. It was a long long day. She will hopefully come home on Saturday. Thanks for all the good vibes and well wishes.

I have found this to be true for me. If I drink during or immediately after eating, the restriction is much less and I can eat more food. It has been a discipline thing for me to not drink during or right after so that I stay full.

Sleevers have to stop drinking 30 minutes before eating and can resume drinking 30 minutes after eating. There are a couple of reasons. 1. The liquid may push the food out of your stomach, enabling you to over eat and consume too many calories leading to weight regain. 2. If you do not wait 30 minutes after drinking, your stomach may be full of liquid then there is no room for food. Different doctors have different guidelines. Some only say to wait 15 minutes. Personally I have to wait 45 minutes to resume drinking. I feel miserable if I drink too soon.

As far as I recall its because liquids fill your stomach when you need to be getting the Protein and nutrients first with food.< /p>

Agree with the upping the Protein. 60 seems really low for 6 months out. I was told to shoot for 80+ grams once I was able to eat solids.

Also up your Protein. I am for 90 to 100g a day. Maybe it will help.

No regrets.....but definitely exhausted as well. Every day seems to get a little easier tho.

Wow, you were built up almost like me before , I carried my weight the same way in my waistline. But congratulations girl! You look great now.

Glad to say I got a great NSV, so my 8 year old son was hugging me yesterday and he tell me all excited look look mommy I could put my hands all around you!! I was like awww best feeling ever!

I had been trying to take measurements monthly, but life happens!! I found my binder cleaning out a drawer after not noting my changes for 4 months. It's amazing to see, in writing, how many lbs and inches I've actually lost, especially when I've been feeling a little discouraged because I feel it's coming off a bit slower now. Of course, I had to weigh and take measurements today, since it had been so long!! I'm not at goal yet, but I'm 138lbs and 84" closer than I was almost 11 months ago!!

6 month check in. Starting weight 238. Down 62lb. Another 28 to go!

I had surgery May 21st my HW was 298 SW 70 CW 214 looking forward to each new day. First picture day of surgery. Second picture last week.

I'm 20 months out, and have been at my goal for a few months now.

Last October.. And this weekend.. A dress!!

I lost 75 pounds before I bought new bras, just got them this weekend:) I told myself I only have about 25 pounds till goal so I should be able to still wear them as it is really just toning and some belly fat I still need to lose.

I have lost over 120 pounds and up till a month ago I did not buy new bras. I know... lazy, scared who knows...
So last month went to Nordstrom, was fitted and have new bras. Let me tell you - my back feels better.
So advice - do not be like me.... go get new bras for each 25-30 pounds lost....

Here is something to contemplate, lets not give up on our goal..

@@thenewandbestme You know I do the exact same thing with my popcicles- I put them in the microwave for 15seconds and had my slushy???? now everyone at the house does that too.

Look for the NSV's and rejoice in them. Like, do your clothes fit better? Can you buckle the seatbelt fit better? Can you walk to the mailbox without getting out of breath? Do your knees hurt less? Is your sleep apnea gone? Those were my non surgery victories. Yours may be different.

If ur using the phone app it wont let u see the pics on people profiles but if u sign on from a regular computer u will see them! U will get to see so much more by signing on from a regular computer once in a while you will see things u miss out on by only using the phone app, I know this from experience lol!
Here is my before & after so far, as I still have about 65 lbs to go to hit goal! My highest weight was 321 lbs & day of surgery july 18, 2013 I weighed in @ 314 @ the hospital, on my 1 yr surgiversary I weighed in @ 205 lbs! I now weigh an even 200 lbs making my total loss 121 lbs in 1 yr & 3 weeks! Can't wait to hit "One-derland"!!!
I also added a flipagram video of my whole progress for the first year of having my sleeve!!!

It's amazing how the pictures look like two different people. I know gaining weight has changed my looks so much I can't wait to lose again.
