Anyone have weird cravings after surgery?

I understand Back to Me. By the way, why did you pick that as your screen name? Just curious. I wish everyone the absolute best. I hope everyone is as thrilled as I have been these past several months. I am starting to take a step class at the gym and it is kicking me in the butt!!

Back To Me, this isn't meant to be a thread for misrepresentation. I adore Dr. Enochs because he changed my life!!! No, I don't work for him, and yes I have lost tremendous weight from my Lap Band!! You are free to choose whomever you want but once you undergo this change in your life, you feel nothing but gratitude to the surgeon and the practice that did it to you!! That's all. Dr. Enochs is the best in my experience but to each their own. I wish everyone the best. I have heard great successes from both sides but I felt Dr. Enochs is more personable. Plus he had more experience and better weight loss results. Best wishes, can't wait to hear your story!:wink_smile:

I haven't heard too much about Dr. Moran but he did med school overseas. I had my LapBand with Dr. Enochs and he and his staff were phenomenal.!! I was so pleased with my experience with Dr. Enochs. I have lost over 68 pounds so far! :wink_smile: Best wishes and keep us posted.

Not to scare you but the Realize Band just came out and the LAP BAND came out first. I would wait til all the kinks are out on the REALIZE. I also think you need to attend Dr. Enochs' seminar held every week at either Rex Hospital or Wake Med Cary. His seminars are informative and he is the KING of Bariatrics. He has had more training, done more cases, and started Bariatrics in Raleigh. I guarantee he is the absolute best. Best wishes. :cursing:

hi jeri! After you do all your pre work up, make sure the office sends the paperwork to Dr. Enochs, sometimes psych takes awhile so follow up often! Best wishes..... keep us posted. :cursing:)

Everyone can have their own opinion but Dr. Enochs trained everyone is in my opinion the best. Even NBC sponsers Dr. Enochs if you go on their website NBC17, Breaking News, Local News, Weather, NBC17, Raleigh Durham Cary Chapel Hill - NBC 17 under health or something. As long as you are comfortable with your decision. Dr. E is for me the best since I've had not so good experiences with Dr. Moran and heard the follow up care is horrible. UTUBE Dr. Enochs and see what others say! Best wishes...!

I am sorry to hear your experience, but I believe that you will find Dr. Enochs (as a physician and experience) to be far better. I actually went to Dr. Moran and had a horrible experience with him. He is stiff and very cold natured. Immediately I went to Dr. ENOCHS' seminar and found him more personable. Beware of Mexico! I don't want to discourage or disappoint but personally just attend the seminar by Dr. Enochs (www.surgerync.com) and you will see why. Oh my, the band that they use is NOT the Lap Band. It has far more complications. Insurance will cover the lap band. Best wishes.

Hi all! The one psychologist to go to as recommended by Dr. Enochs is Tammi Moore. She is starting to see patients in the office now directly. I saw her and she is FABULOUS!! I highly recommend her. If you call the office, ask how to get scheduled I guess. Best wishes!

Hi Marie! I think you will find Dr. Enochs to be the best! He is truly an expert in weight loss surgery both the gastric bypass and the Lap Band! I had my surgery 2 months ago and feel great! My friend had a bypass by him 4 1/2 months ago and has lost 70 pounds and NO PAIN! She feels awesome! Hi Nicole! I wish I had warned you about Dr. Moran. Haleybugs (amy) went and saw him and felt he was the coldest person on the planet. Plus he has no personality or affect. Dr. ENOCHS ended up doing her gastric bypass and my lap band. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. ENOCHS and so do all of his patients. I am on obesityhelp.com and Raleigh loves him!! I guess once you meet Dr. Enochs you will know exactly why his patients feel that way about him. He is exactly what you envision when you think of a Bariatric Surgeon. He is much more experienced in the field than anyone else in Raleigh. In fact, he trained Dr. Moran. Dr. Enochs is so much more personable. Anyway, we should start a Lap Band Support Group in Raleigh or online. Any suggestions?

No, haven't heard much about Duke WLS. I just need personalized attention. That's why I went to a private practice instead. At Duke, I heard you just feel like a number. I guess it all depends.
