  2. Virginia Medicaid pays for bariatric surgery.
  3. Since starting my journey, my spouse started out supportive and now is being a big d!ck!! I'm at the point where I'm ready to get this surgery done and over with so I can move on!!!
  4. No they don't require me to lose a certain amount, I just CAN NOT GAIN!! But it's so aggravating because I know how hard I'm trying and the scale just keeps flip floppin! Started at 280 then went to 278, 277.6, 275, 278, 281, 277.4 it's BS!!!!
  5. DONT BE!! It's fine! Just be honest!
  6. I'm in my 6 months waiting period trying to desperately to not gain a single ounce but to lose what I can. In the last month I've only lost 2 pounds and this morning the day of my weigh in with my PCP for my 2nd time the scale says "back to my original weight"!!!!! I count calories I am conscience of what foods I put into my body! I'm so hard on me but isn't that why I'm having surgery anyway? Because loosing weight for me just isn't about counting calories or exercise??!!! It's still just so annoying and aggravating that I can't even seem to keep off 2 F-in pounds!!!!!!
  7. I was 19 and 9 months pregnant at my lowest weight of 220lbs...I am now 35 and currently hovering at 277lbs....
  8. I haven't been sleeved yet and I have my 2nd dr appointment tomorrow of the 6 I have to have per insurance. I have been trying new protein drinks and eating better and have lost 2 pounds in a month. However, I have this horrible pain on my left side under my ribs. I was thinking spleen issues. Question is...has anyone else had this feeling while trying to eat better and can to much protein be the issue?

  10. Also been on the side of being cheated on. I promise guilt also comes with this side side as well. Well hope your safe in whatever/whoever you do.
  11. What will they say after your dead from obesity and comorbitities?
  12. I've been on both sides of the situation. The cheater comes with a TON of guilt at some point or another, I promise you WILL feel regret and guilt. Maybe not right away maybe not in a year or two but you will!
  13. Opinions are like armpits, some stink, some don't. In the end we are all responsible for our own results. So chose wisely and listen to your dr.
  14. The patch doesn't provide enough
  15. Only list here comments you have heard others say if you have chose to tell them about your surgery. 1.) Why would you want to do that? 2.) Are you sure this is what you want to do? I told my my husband, my kids and made the mistake of telling my MIL!
  16. Are you working out as well?
  17. There's no excuses! Pre make a lunch the night before!
  18. I almost slipped today and told my sister. Gotta keep my business in the DL!
  19. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOR RECOGNIZING THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HERE IS YOU!!!! You GO!!
  20. Two things. If you drink before or during eating you will feel to full to eat what's really needed by your body. If you drink while eating or after, your pushing the food down not allowing the body time to really digest and absorb. So there's two parts to it.
  21. Ok psych eval done!! It consisted of 4 different "test" as she called them. Questions that are completely normal and ok to HONESTLY answer. She then talked with me and then said that she's not the one who makes the final decision about the surgery but just gives her report to the dr. She did say that I seem to understand the seriousness of the surgery and the life long effects it will have. All in all I feel 100% awesome about it and it took about 2hrs!!
  22. 6 months dreaded wait here too!
  23. I have told my husband and my kids. I wish I felt OK to tell my closest friend (my sister!) but I feel bad that it will make her feel even worse about herself. Then again I think, I've don't so many things to try to lose and it keeps coming back.. So since I have tried so hard for so long, I DESERVE THIS!!!!! I still don't think I'll mention it, but when the weight starts falling off, I'm sure there will be questions asked!
