Left side trouble

I haven't been sleeved yet and I have my 2nd dr appointment tomorrow of the 6 I have to have per insurance. I have been trying new protein drinks and eating better and have lost 2 pounds in a month. However, I have this horrible pain on my left side under my ribs. I was thinking spleen issues. Question is...has anyone else had this feeling while trying to eat better and can to much protein be the issue?

Is it possible it is just gas? Depends on how long you have had the pain and how consistent it is I suppose.
