  1. Non scale victory
  2. 285.5 still. Uuuuuuuuuuuugh. I go through these stages of the scale not moving for a few weeks then BAM down 5 lbs.
  3. Everyone knows I'm getting this done. So my work said they'd be really flexible and let me leave early and do work at home.
  4. I haven't even had surgery yet and Water always tastes funny and feels weird in my stomach. Like I try to drink 64 ounces of plain water but I feel waterlogged and like I can feel the water sloshing around. But I add crystal lite or mio and it's just fine. I've tried all temps. I feel your pain.
  5. I'm not even sure what to add. But I wanted to say something. Men are weird and when they are nervous they say weird things. My husband is such a chubby chaser I don't know what's going to happen after I lose weight. I commend Bella for getting out there and dating after what she's been through. You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. The term skinny is so subjective. People fat shame celebrities when they gain a few lbs. They lose the weight then are criticized for having an eating disorder. No one can win. To some Bella may be "just right" to others she may "need to eat a cheeseburger" and to some people still "she needs to eat a salad". No. One. Can. Win. Everyone has different expectations on what they define as beauty. It's about being happy with yourself and the rest will fall into place.
  6. I'm having a hard time focusing on things other than waiting for this surgery. I am soooooooo nervous about this sleep study. It's like, the last barrier that decides everything. Then wait for the insurance approval. Blah. I can't keep up at work anymore really. I'm just mentally tapped out. I have to take frequent breaks. It's rough.
  7. It took me a long time to figure out what was meant in this thread as I have never.. had some one visit lady town before lol.
  8. T This is my 50 lb lap dog who stole my pillow.
  9. It's a lot harder on your family in the waiting room. I had usually been the one to have surgery (I've had 5 since 2011) and always wondered what the big deal was. My husband had an appendectomy this summer. I thought I was going to die in the waiting room. The doctor was like "it'll take 45 minutes" 90 minutes later I hadn't heard ANYTHING and was freaking out.
  10. I'm not sure of a Facebook group but I'm tentatively scheduled for 11/23 as well.
  11. Ok gotcha. I'm so sorry that happened to you but blood clots are a risk of any surgery. And the lap band, I feel, is riskier than other weight loss surgery because there is a foreign object in your body. Are you thinking about getting another surgery later on down the road? I'd imagine the blood thinners for life will make that hard. Good luck.
  12. Just today I bought sugar free weathers, mints and lemon candy for my office at work. Not even going to bother with it in my house. I'm going to a wedding on Halloween. I'm pre op. I don't have kids but my friends do so I'm sure something will come of that lol. Be strong!
  13. I'm confused. In a short few sentences can you tell me what happened? Not the symptoms but what happened.
  14. Luckily my dog has two great grandmothers who are willing to help me. See if a family member can take them for a while.
  15. Wait. Can my double chin sag? I used to terrified of loose skin but then I was just like "screw it. I have to loose this weight." Now I'm only mildly concerned. The only person that sees me naked is my husband i think he'll be fine with it. The rest I can hide it from. But not a saggy face. ????
  16. I don't think there's a difference in type of incision used and restriction??
  17. That's what she said. Stop. Omg lol.
  18. They asked me. I said 150. That's 135 lbs to lose for me. It puts me right in the higher range of normal weight for BMI but I'll lose as much as I can. I just don't want to disappointment myself.
  19. I'm jealous of all you people. I have a full liquid diet for 4 weeks, then pureed for 4 weeks then soft food for 4 weeks. I'm going to die.
  20. I was not informed of any of this. My doctor said it will feel like a period cramp. I almost passed out from the pain. Like fall off the table pass out. It was awful.
  21. Wooo after the scales not moving for a few weeks or maybe it was broke?? I'm 285.5 today!!
  22. Ugh I can't see signatures mobile.
  23. I'm pre pre op diet. I've been trying really hard to make the healthy changes now. Right now I have such a craving for chocolate. I read some where a craving only lasts 19 minutes but this has lasted a few hours! Someone tell me awful things will happen if I give in. I even had a chocolate Protein shake but that didn't help.
