Multivitamin with minerals that taste good, are there any out there?
What kind of Vitamins do we need? There isn't like a Bariatric Vitamin that has everything we need in it and is chewable and tastes great since that's what we all want?? Lol.

Names of insurance companies that cover the sleeve, please?
Anthem BC/BS. My husband works there so we have an employee plan. I didn't have any insurance requirements other than to provide info on my past dieting experiences.

New foods tried after surgery...
I haven't had surgery yet but I discovered I LOVE roasted Brussels sprouts. I don't like them boiled though. I boiled them tonight with some sautéed shrimp.

Protein drink
Premiere protein is amazing. I get mine at Costco.

Never noticed. Picture included
lol yea, it's so hard for me to slowly get out of that plus size frame of mind. It's all I knew and although I have much more to go . Most of my "plus sized clothing don't fit". So I know there is progress my mind just had to catch up. Yaaaay. Keep it up!

I feel very guilty and upset
I think you're allowed a bad day or two after that news. I'm sorry you're going through this. My mom had cancer and chemo and it was rough on her! I can't imagine having gastric surgery on top of it too.

Relationship problems
I feel like my husband is getting frustrated and tired of me getting ready for this surgery. He won't talk to me about it and doesn't really support my new food choices. He's said a few times he's afraid I won't cook him dinner for 6 months. I've been cooking him dinner. Sometimes a completely separate meal than what I eat. Like today I made shrimp and Brussels sprouts. I made him fried chicken and rice. No thank you. No support. No nothing. It's very frustrating. He also says I'm just obsessed with it and will "grow out of" this phase. I'm hoping he warms up to it more as time goes on.

BMI of San Antonio Texas
Don't feel guilty. I know what it's like on the being let go end and on the co worker being let go and I have to do all their stuff. Life goes on. Clients still need to be seen. Clients still have questions and concerns.

Pre Op Exercising
I used to LOVE swimming but the gym that has a pool increased their monthly rate to almost $50. So that was a no go anymore. Maybe I can swim in the summer at my apartment's pool. I really totally want a lap pool when I buy a house lol.

Pre Op Exercising
What kind of pre op exercising are you doing? I have a spinal injury with nerve damage so I'm pretty limited on what I can do. I try to walk on the treadmill and do the recumbent bike. I also have an exercise ball that I do physical therapy stretches on (well should be doing stretches that I don't always do....). I cannot really lift weights. I'm just concerned that my physical limitations are going to mess up my weight loss down the road. The PA I met with said losing weight would help my spinal injury symptoms and exercise will get easier. Any one have experience with this? Thanks!

Period after surgery- IUD ladies
Is there any research or anything on this. Is it due to hormones? Estrogen is apparently stored in fat and gets released as we lose weight. I'm on the depo shot and ever since I started drinking Protein shakes as Meal Replacements I am getting spotting. I've only lost 3 lbs though. So I'm not sure. Maybe its stress? This surgery stuff is super stressing me out. :-/

Question about psych eval
Mines with a licensed social worker (like myself) at the Bariatric Center. I might look into this as a career move some day. I do assessments now for drug and alcohol related problems at a Rehab.
