  1. That's how I felt when I found out I had sleep apnea. I was tentatively scheduled for last Monday. Took the wind right out of my sails.
  2. I just turned 30 in October. I started this journey in August. I literally just put it on my Facebook and I started a blog. This is how I knew that like 5 people care about my posts on Facebook. I think it's easier that people know. I get a lot of questions, but I also get support and people always ask what I need to eat and drink, etc.
  3. Oh crap. Now I'm freaking out. This is my insurance. My husband works at Anthem as well. I don't have weight watcher records. In my "6 continuos months in 2 years" I did weight watchers for 2 months. It was too expensive so I changed to slim fast. I have medical records and weigh ins at doctors office showing I lost weight during that time. I called the doctor and got all my weigh in from the past 2 years and put that with my 6 month diet info. I hope that's enough. I started this journey in September so I'm already 3 months in on this pre - pre op diet. So I guess it's not so bed. Idk. I'm just freaking out.
  4. Apparently I have sleep apnea. I don't see that doctor until the 30th to set up lab tests and things. Looks like I won't get surgery before the end of the year. Which blows because we already met our deductible and wouldn't have to pay anything. So now I gotta scramble up the deductible before I can have surgery next year. So I'm really upset. I've gone off the diet a bit and gained some weight back. My doctor said the weight could be Fluid retention from my kidneys not functioning all the way. But I know I've gone off the diet too. Today was my tentative surgery date and I just feel..... jealous of the person that got my slot. You know? I don't know why I'm letting this bother me so much. :-/
  5. I haven't even had surgery yet. I have 3 heating blankets that I use. I usually I use one of those, a big plush fleece blanket and a down comforter to sleep with. I live in Ohio lol. Sneezing could be a food allergy you developed? Dairy maybe?
  6. If you have a fever or other infection he will most likely have to postpone.
  7. Just found out today I have sleep apnea and need a lab study. I'm not happy about it. At. All. I barely slept with the home study how am I supposed to with all the gobblededoop they have on me.
  8. I have been playing phone tag with the office manager for weeks. Apparently I'm missing 2 things that I have already done. So now I'm scrambling around trying to get this info again. Uuuugh. It's frustrating.
  9. I went to UK for 9 years. No experience with that doctor. Just wanted to stop by and say that I miss Lexington soooooooooo much! We relocated to Ohio almost 4 years ago due to my husbands work. I'm still a little bitter about it.
  10. Protein shakes give me awful dry mouth and bad breath.
  11. Hmmm. After reading the post above this I too need to add I was sexually abused by my sisters boyfriend when I was 8 on Christmas Day. (She was 18 and he was 20 something) I told her about it and she accused my of lying and told me not to tell anyone else because he could go to jail. I think years later she figured out it was the truth and she admitted he had abuse her as well. I'm not sure that had any thing to do with my weight. Maybe it did. But I definitely blame the car accident lol.
  12. Premiere protein shakes make my breath nasty and mouth dry no matter how many times I brush or chew gum or mints. It's ridiculous.
  13. 2 week liquid diet. I have to get at least 5 shakes a day and 64 ounces of water, flavored water, tea, coffee, or broth.
  14. After all of my surgeries, I just wanted people to leave me alone so I could sleep. Once the nurse kicked my mom out for a few hours telling her to go have a nice lunch and shopping. She then put a note on the door saying that she was to be informed if someone needed to come in to check with her first.
  15. Are you calling her fat? Lol. Please don't tell her this, it will cause all sorts of problems I'm sure. congratulations.
  16. They are saying it's not medically necessary and something about your mental health is a problem. And that you're not properly educated on the procedure due to lack of documentation. Call your surgeons office.
  17. I'm a social worker and suck at self care. It's hard. My job is emotionally demanding. I also work many many many hours. Like right now, I've been in the hospital the past two days and they want me to work from home today. And I'm gonna do it, because people are relying on me. It's hard to find time for self care. Usually I come home, have dinner and go straight to sleep at 7 or 8. I need to find something to do. Like a hobby. I also need to get back into exercise.
  18. I was in the hospital for kidney failure due to an infection. I'm better now. Dr Thompson won't proceed until my infection is gone and kidney function up. I see my kidney dr Monday. I have kidney disease due to a car accident I was in. I don't think it will be a long delay. Still waiting on sleep study results. They told me I'd hear something Friday.
  19. I guess some people just can't tolerate some stuff at times. That's guys. I'm actually back home now and feeling a little better.
  20. Thanks Dub. I know I need to stay positive to get better. On a scale of 1 to death, I feel like I'm dying lol.
  21. Hey guys. My kidney function tanked due to a severe infection. I'm afraid my surgery has been postponed to some far off future date. I. Am. So. Disappointed. I need good healing vibes not only for my physical ailments but for my emotional well being as well. I feel worthless. I feel like a burden to my employer. I've had to take off so much work for the prerequisites and now I'm off for who knows how long. My husband is fed up with me. I can tell. I've never heard him sigh so much in the almost 5 hours we were in the ER. He had to take off work too. My mom is possibly facing a cancer diagnosis and wants to postpone her tests and Drs appointments. I keep telling her not to. That I'm being taken care of. Thanks for listening.
