  1. Hi guys, I was banded by Dr Hoffman on the 23rd of June 2008. If you go to Drs and Hospital on this site. Look for the link that says Dr Hoffman Buffalo Ny and you will find many of us that have had the Lap band done at Buff Gen. Rain
  2. Mrs Bubba, I also had a rough third fill a few weeks ago. The Dr. could not find the top of the port. I was poked and pressed on for atleast 10 minutes. He finally got it in and gave me a 1cc fill. Well needless to say I was nauseous and very sore. I called into work the next day just so I could rest. I think all the pushing hurt my insides. I am also very gassy with this past fill. When Im hungry I belch and when I eat a little too much I belch. I also get the pain in my left shoulder often. Hope your feeling better. Just wanted to let you know that you were not alone.
  3. Hi just my opinion.... but they are really really gross!! I bought them before I was banded and thought they sounded good. They come in this stinky liquid that you have to wash off really well and they tasted weird. But hey you never know you might like them.
  4. I get the same pain in my shoulder. I'm six months out and I know that means I ate too much. Its in the same shoulder that I had the original gas pain in after surgery.

I have both and I think that the wii fit is fun and a good way to track your weight and BMI but the dance dance revolution really makes you sweat. I think you probably burn more calories with the dance dance and its also a lot of fun.

I got my Wii Fit last week and I really like it. Its cool because it weighs you everytime and tracks your BMI. The games are fun and some are very addictive. I think its a fun idea if you want to do some excercise at home.
  7. Hi, I just joined my water aerobics class at the YMCA and have gone two times this week. I love it and its harder than you think. We use weights and boards for resistance in the water. I hope you like it as much as I do. I would go every day if I could. Im not so sure how it will work for weight loss but I think it will do wonders for shaping and toning.
  8. I was told that I had to stop it for 30 days also or I could stay on it and give myself injections of something for blood clots. I chose to go off of it for the month. I think that I started back on it as soon as I was done with the surgery. Like within the next week.
  9. At my one week visit my doctor told me I could wash it off with a washcloth. So I did. The incisions were definately healed underneath. But do what your doctor told you.
  10. Clairey, I too was banded on the 23rd and have only lost the 8 lbs from the one week liquid diet. It does get frustrating seeing the same # everyday on the scale but Im sure it will get better . It has to or there wouldnt be so many people who love their bands right?
  11. Im in the same boat. I was banded on the 23rd and lost 8lbs on the post op liquid diet and have not lost a lb since. Very discouraging!
  12. I got my shipment from them in a few days. Like 4 or 5 cant remember exactly. They were very quick.
  13. Add me to June 23rd also!!
  14. Tanitas are the best. I've had mine for over 10 years and it is very accurate.
  15. What I wont miss... 1. being so self conscious-thinking everybody staring at you and talking about you. 2. shopping with skinny friends when you know you cant fit into anything cute. 3. going out thinking you look cute but only to see your reflection and learn the truth! 4. knowing that no guy in the bar is interested in you, just your skinny friends 4. having no self esteem or self worth 5. having your mother tell you everyday how fat you are 6. being skinny once to only have gained it all back 7. not being able to play and run with my daughter 8. waiting for the day your daughter says " mommy why are you fat?" 9. not going on the rides at the amusement park for fear you will be asked to get off. and on and on...........
  16. Chilly, Im also from Buffalo and just turned in my paper work with Dr Forbes. I would love to ask you a few questions if you don't mind. Like how long did it take for you to get a call and how long was it between then and your scheduled surgery. Any info would be greatly appreciated
