well he has definately moved on
I received a message from someone on facebook that I didn't know, but they mentioned that my (soon to be ex) husband is involved in a new relationship. I didn't know who sent me the message and I didn't think much of it...at first. Eventually curiosity got the best of me and I did a tiny bit of looking around. For the record we have been separated for 6 months and have not started formal divorce paperwork yet. I went to her facebook page and there are tons of pictures of the two of them, hugging, kissing, etc. Now, I hate to say negative things about other people's appearance, but...she's much larger than ever was even before surgery, and her face...well I just hope she has a nice personality. I'm sure I'm biased against her but it was really a kick in the gut. I know I shouldn't feel like this. He cheated on me, he made me feel bad about myself, he disrespected me, he ignored me, he never wanted to spend time with m, ehe put my needs last...I know I'm better off without him. But I feel so rejected and hurt. I can't help this feeling of "you dumped me for THAT?" I just needed to get that off my chest.

Meal planning and living alone
I bought a tiny crock pot at walmart for under $10. It has been great for cooking small meals.

When people tell you you're taking the easy way out......
So then I ask, if someone quits smoking by using the patch, is that the "easy way out"?

When people tell you you're taking the easy way out......
Only my (soon to be ex) husband, parents, brother and one close friend know about my surgery and everyone has been beyond supportive fortunately. as far as it being the "easy way out" countless pre op doctors visits and testing and scanning and poking and prodding recovery from surgery making sure you get all your Protein and Water every day learnign what foods will or won't agree with your new stomach learning how much you can eat so you won't throw up dealing with loose saggy skin making sure you exercise every day yeah...so easy

How Do You Stop Losing Weight
Well it's not like you keep loosing weight until you hit zero. At some point your weight loss stops and you have to reevaluate your diet depending on where you are in your journey. Buy honestly the concept of worrying about NOT loosing weight just doesn't register in my brain.

Eating and drinking
No your stomach will not stretch. For me drinking witj a meal takes up space in my stomach that should be filled with protein and makes me feel fuller

Wanting to eat
Just give it time and hang in there. In the mean time you can chew some ice. If you have any Sonic locations near you they have ice that is a great texture for chewing.

Salad....ever again? If so when?
You should always consult your team. Everyone's plan is different. I eat salad. I personally find it surprisingly filling. I try just to have a few bites as a side to my Protein.

Can you stretch your sleeve
if done correctly you can't stretch your sleeve. The stretchy part of your stomach is removed popcorn is a slider food. I can eat a ton of it

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..
haha I'm in my 30s and newly single. I have no idea what flirting is. I was at the grocery store and a guy started chatting with me. When I left I was like wait, was that flirting? i met my husband when I was 21 and was with him for 12 years. I have no idea how to flirt or how to recognize if someone is flirting with me

New Dating Site for Bariatric Patients!
I'm glad the site exists. I just wish there were more poeple on it. That's not your fault, it's just a new site. I for one would love to find someone near me who also had weight loss surgery. I think that would make things much easier, someone who knew where you came from, your struggles, and who understands some of us might have loose skin and not be repulsed by it.

Did i really need the surgery?
I don't think YOUR goal weight has anything to do with whether or not this person needed the surgery. There are tons of other factors you know nothing about that could be at play here. A BMI over 30 is still obese. My weight has nothing to do with it, just a reference. I think someone who only needs to loose 50 lbs should not have life altering permanent surgery. And clearly based on the other comments they made, not being happy loosing more than a pound a day, suggests that this person is either trolling or was incredibly ill prepared for the realities of surgery. This person has started TWO threads on this subject and in both of them has not mentioned any comorbidities. So just my opinion, they should not have had surgery. Dear sophie, it is my first time in this app so i thought that first thread was deleted thats why i re-wrote it. And the reason as to why i had this surgery is because i'm diagnosed with pcos and have gained 40lbs in less than a year. And said that if i didn't do anything about i can easily be diabetic. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App my opinion....it's your life do what you want, the choices are yours. In my opinion 40 lbs isn't a huge amount. Before my sleeve I could easily start a diet and loose 40-60 lbs. I had PCOS too. Did you have any other factors? with that low of a bmi it's odd that anyone would do the surgery without major comorbidities

Did i really need the surgery?
this is one of the big reasons I stopped using the forums on my fitness pal. To many people who were already skinny going on and on about how fat they are and how they need to loose weight when they were already well below my goal weight. I saw so many people posting their "before" pictures that showed slim people with flat tummies talking about how they needed to loose so much weight, it really made me feel bad
-
Did i really need the surgery?
absolutely. in both threads they have not said that they had any comorbidities. I honestly hope that they did otherwise I would personally be shocked that a doctor would do it otherwise

Did i really need the surgery?
when you post on a public forum you won't just get people agreeing with you. If you ask "did I make a mistake" then you have to be prepared to hear "yes I think you did" Yes which is why I said they did ask the question. But your goal weight has nothing to do with whether or not another person needs surgery. This particular individuals BMI was considered obese and they obviously had a surgeon approve their case. A good majority of us could probably have lost weight with diet and exercise I think a "good majority" of us have heard that we could "probably have lost weight with diet and exercise" all of our lives. And if we could we would.

Why no soda
Well I don't believe it's forever but talk to your nutritionist. It's definately a no no while you are healing. Several months out I was drinking small cups of diet soda. A few sips make me feel super full but then I burp and feel much better LOL

Fashion advice
I have dark reddish brown hair. My plan is to straighten it and then put some big curls in it and pin up the sides. I will be practicing this weekend. After all this I will post a picture from the wedding

Fashion advice
@@higher Thank you!!!! and thank you so much everyone. For the first time I am actually not dreading going to a wedding. (except for the part where my family is going to learn about my impending divorce) so would it be petty if after I got all dressed up and the hair was done if I sent a pic to my soon to be ex husband to show him what he's missing? He hasn't seen me in 100 lbs
