  1. you could probably order a side of mashed potatoes or asked for some really soft steamed veggies
  2. is it possible you're eating too much or too fast? I wouldn't worry about the calories as long as you're getting your Protein
  3. I bought pants specifically to wear home, I bought pajama bottoms a size larger than I would normally wear so they would be loose on my tummy a pillow is a great idea I wish I had brought one for the ride home. We had a bit of a bumpy ride and every bump hurt. if you have pets its a good idea to keep a pillow near you. My kitties kept wanting to cuddle so I had a pillow I put over my tummy so we could still snuggle
  4. oh yeah been there. Try different brands of Protein. Try mixes and pre made ones. There are good ones on this very site. Just keep telling yourself that YOU CAN DO IT! the liquid phase is only a short while

  11. There are tons of different protein powders out there. Some are better than others
  12. You will have great success with either surgery. With the sleeve i have good restriction and feeling of fullness. With bypass you also have malabsorption and dumping
  13. You had the sleeve in September of this year? That's amazing! hank you! that includes my pre op weight loss too so my total loss is from this past June.
  14. I weighed a lot more than that pre op. I had the sleeve on Sept 2 and to date I have lost over 130 lbs
  15. are you looking for sugar free? two recipes... Sugar free no bake lemon cheesecake dissolve one pack of sugar free lemon Jello (you can really use any flavor) with 1 cup boiling Water and stir until dissolved and let cool. Mix the jello with a pack of softened cream cheese. Fold the jello cream cheese mixture with half a tub of sugar free cool whip and the mixture to a pre made pie crust. Refrigerate overnight pumpkin mousse very simple, just mix a can of pumpkin pie filling with a tub of cool whip and spoon into cups
  16. can you eat eggs? I mix a few eggs with some finely diced veggies and some chopped up turkey slices. I pour the mixture into my muffin pan and top with a little shredded cheese and bake them until the eggs are set. That's breakfast for a few days
  17. I was adding things like frozen fruit and instant coffee to my shakes at about 2 weeks
  18. you're supposed to eat greek yogurt with has more Protein and less sugar. veggies might have too much Fiber
  19. This is one of those things I was talking about in another post with the lack of proper education about surgery. It's not the original poster's fault she wasn't told something, but not eating and drinking at the same time is one of those basic rules that your nutritionist should go over with you pretty much on day one.
  20. this applies to all food. This is really something your nutritionist should have gone over with you
  21. Well you're not supposed to drink while you eat, didn't your NUT tell you this? While everyone has different instructions it's a pretty universal thing that you're not supposed to drink half an hour before and half an hour to 45 minutes after eating it's also possible you ate too fast or had too much I'm 4 months out and occasionally throw up if I ate too fast
  22. I've heard people say that walking and moving around helped
  23. you honestly won't need much. Some slip on shoes and some comfy loose clothes to go home in. besides the cell phone and charger I also brought my kindle and my laptop and some dvds
