Anesthesia Questions.
There are no side effects from general anesthesia. They wheel you into the operating room, you slide over onto the table then they give you the good stuff. For me it was a gas they put a mask on me and after a couple of breaths the next thing i knew i was waking up in recovery

Why do ppl tell me I don't need surgery?
Because people don't understand. Most people still think surgery is a cheat or an "easy" way out. I'm also going to assume that whomever told you that probably never struggled with their weight

Anyone ever thought:"I can do this on my own, I don't need the sugery"
I plan on it. Insurance has a 6 month waiting period....going to give it a good solid honest try and see how I am at the end of the 6 nonths.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App You need to be honest with yourself. Do you really think you can keep it off? Loosing the weight isn't the hardest part its keepi g it off long term. Based on your past experiences with dieting do you think you will be able to keep it off if you don't have surgery?

When i lost 50lbs pre op i had a brief thought...but if i could do it without surgery then i wouldn't have been at the point of needing surgery. Need advice Please
From what I've seen here 99.9% of posters are beyond happy with their sleeve. For me i am very happy with my sleeve. Do You have any specific questions? I can tell you about my experience but keep in mind that everyone's experiences are different.

Vitamins
I was told in the beginning to only take chewables and NOT gummies. If you're not sure about ANYTHING talk to your surgeon or nutritionist first since every doctor gives different instructions

Amount able to eat during 1st yr post op
I go out often also and I'll usually just order an appetiser or some restaurants have a small plates menu. In my experience people don't notice how little you're eating just as long as you order something. Of course if someone does notice you can say that you're trying to eat less which is not a lie

100lb lost!
Congrats!

Amount able to eat during 1st yr post op
Your insides are still swollen so your pouch is still teeny. 6/7 months post op all the swelling should be down and you wil see that you can eat a little more. For me it depends on thw food. Steak i can have a few bites of. Chicken a little more. Sashimi i can eat the most of, just over half of a typical sashimi plate at a restaurant

Every insurance has their own requirements. Mine only required that i not gain any weight. But i lost 50lbs pre op anyway

Isopure drinks
I thought they were horrible

Stretched Pouch
After 6 or 7 months post op all the swelling has gone down so you can eat a little more but that doesn't mean it stretched. With the sleeve they remove the elastic part of the stomach so it can't stretch
