  1. Only my immediate family and two very close friends know about my sleeve. I got sleeved on September and was worried about Thanksgiving. We always have around 20 people. What i found was that at thanksgiving or just going out to eat with some people, people are generally too involved in the conversations or their own food to notice how much or how little you eat. As long as you have a plate in front of you with some food on it most people won't notice. If someones does happen to say something you can say something like I'm trying to eat less or I'm watching what I eat...not lies Someone asked me recently how i lost so much weight. All i said is that i have been eating less. It's totally the truth
  2. Yeah, check the laws on spousal support. In my area you have to be married for a minimum of 10 years and is usually only given for around a year. It's not like it was in the past where women were allowed to collect until they decided to remarry. where i live if you've been married less than ten years if you get support you woukd get it for half of the length of the marriage and the amount you get is one third of the difference between your salaries. Based on that formula i am eligible for a few hundred dollars a month for 4 years
  3. The thing that's interesting about this zombie show is that the zombies aren't the big threat, it's other humans. The governor, terminus, neegan, the wolves...those were the big threats. The zombies are just a natural phenomenon that occasionally kills people...like a tornado
  4. absolutely start at the beginning Fair warning there is a chunk in season 2 that gets slow but then it gets awesome
  5. The number is going down right? Good job!!
  6. Everyone can eat different amounts so just go slow and learn what your full signals are. I am 8 months post op and still learning how much of what food I can eat
  7. Call your doctor about any concerns But early on for most people it is hard to get all the liquid in
  8. I eat a variety of things. Sometimes i bring a small salad or some cold cut slices with cheese. Yogurt and a string cheese...veggie sticks and a dip or just some leftovers from dinner
  9. Firat of all 1 to 1.5 cups of food sounds like alot. I can't eat that much 7 months post sleeve. Second I absolutely snack. I choose healthy items like string cheese some yogurt or some fruits or vegggies
  10. Fortunately I have one of our cats but I do very much miss the other kitty
  11. Of course I could just empty the account myself *evil laugh*
  12. The only thing with both of our names on it is a checking account that i am no longer using and the lease on the apartment which is over at the end of june. Oh and our cell phones. His car is completely in his name and mine is completely in mine. So that's going to make some things easier
  13. The first month just walking. I couldn't do much more than that. Walking was exhausting enough
  14. We don't have kids and we don't own a home and we don't have any significant savings, so the only thing we need to split is our physical belongings. I am looking into lawyers for filing the paperwork. I think for him the issue is about money. He always worries about not having money for things. I used to handle our bills but now he's doing all that and he is now really seeing how much money he has. His issue is that everything I take he has to replace where from his point of view he believs that he needs the items more than I do since I am living with my parents. He believs my parents are wealthy and should just buy me anything I want when I get my own place. My parents do very well but are in no way rich. I think he is resentful that he know my parents will absolutely help me financially if I truly need it while his parents will not (they have the money to loan him they just refuse to)
  15. Well my kitty was old and blind and stopped eating so for her sake she's not in discomfort now. The sleeve has been one the best things i ever did. I am healthier and look better and several people told me that I just seem happier
  16. Stress is definitely the word. Looking back on this past year, I lost my job, had my sleeve, lost one of our cats, and over all this time watched as he more and more showed a complete indifference to me and finally said he wanted to separate, then I had to move back in with my parents. Not been a great year
  17. wow that's a great price. Those things can get expensive
  18. I am currently staying with my parents so at the moment I don't need much and he keeps throwing that in my face but I don't want to live with them forever, just enough to get myself in a better place and save up some money. So whatever I don't take from our apartment I have to buy later and he's not getting that. He thinks my parents should buy me everything.
  19. it definitely is just stuff and has no sentimental value. I was ready to just take my own clothes and my crafting supplies and leave it at that but his selfish attitude has made me change my mind
  20. I am looking for a lawyer. But we don't have a lot to split, we don't own anything and rent the apartment. I would hate to spend thousands on a lawyer over some possessions. I am starting to be more pushy about taking what is rightfully mine and I know I really need to stop being so nice
  21. That is a good idea. I am going there tonight and i will try to at least get some pictures. He's also really starting to aggrivate me because he keeps saying "your parents are rich they can just buy you new stuff". Yes they make good money but in no way are they rich
  22. omg the saga continues....need to let off steam I am looking for lawyers and spoke to one briefly that mentioned I could get spousal support. I thought I would feel very guilty taking it knowing how tight he is financially now. Well today he is making it much easier on me. I am trying to be respectful of his polite request to be present when I come to our apartment to pack up my things, but he's NEVER home! Every day I'm like how about today or tomorrow or this weekend and he always says he has something going on. Then he throws back at me "what do you need that is so urgent?" Now I'm talking to him about some of our mutual things that I would like to take. I am currently staying with my parents and these things will be stored in their basement until I have my own place and he keeps throwing that in my face. When I said I want one of our area rugs he says he needs it now and I don't. When I said I want two out of the 4 book cases we have again he says he needs it now and I don't every single thing I say I want to take he is giving me grief over even though the list of things he is keeping is so much longer than the list of things I want to take. He is making it easy for me to want to stop being nice about this. I still have my keys, either he lets me take what I want with his blessing or he's going to come home to an empty apartment one day
  23. In my opinion a bit of syrup won't kill you
  24. ask your nutritionist
  25. if you're ok with non breakfast foods you could use some canned tuna. It is quite high in Protein. I like it with some avocado I've also seen protein pancake mixes
