Well there is the increased risk of developing depression after surgery and antidepressants are great at warding that off but take time to work think 6 weeks to like 3 months so yeah also different ones work for different people I've been on about 10 of them most don't work for me because of conflicting factors such as bipolar disorder and insomnia. I had to do 2 sleep studies back in 2014 both at the hospital they are annoying but if you have apnea you need to get tested the machines they have now are amazing and I'm sleeping better than ever Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app

I just saw my surgeon yesterday I am looking at around September date for bypass. I have to attend nutrition classes for the next 6 months I need to submit my sleep study and a month of compliance on my new machine and a letter of support from my Pcp also need a psych eval but that's it for me Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app

I've done one before and they ask like 300 questions some more than once and it's to make sure you are serious also there is the eval where they get a general idea of you as a person just be honest and as far as failing I mean being suicidal might be a big red flag other than that not sure I see a psych doc regularly and she is fully supportive so it's easy to pass Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app
