thank you @frust8 i am ready for a no holds barred divorce but it is hard when my hubby isnt he is trying but he is my biggest support and enabler so am i though so we need to make this work together im getting stronger but its draining making good choices all the time when in like the back of my mind im like you are never gonna be able to eat this stuff again do it all right now even though i know it is crazy i feel like that sometimes

Feel like I made a mistake.
im still pre-op but i have had 3 friends go thru this at my program and they are ok the first few weeks are hard yes but it gets a million times better the farther out you are ok just be patient ok your fine right now you are adjusting to a new normal you have a brand new tummy and its gonna take some time to get used to ok but just roll with it your fine ok

Cost of surgery
i know when i had a similar surgery called abutment put in the parts alone were like 18 grand so 20% was around like 3800 if that helps it should be similar

this is the part that excites and scares me the most i am really hoping to change my relationship with food but i am preop and having a hard time saying no to the bad stuff ill do good for like a week then fall off for a day or two then go back so any advice guys

Guys for the psych eval dont be nervous just be honest with whom ever is doing it and you will be ok thursday is mine and it is 3 hours long lol i know it is a step in the process and a good one i already see a psych doc regularly and therapist so im comfy with answering personal questions just relax ok Sent from my LGLS676 using BariatricPal mobile app

Sleep Apnea Test

Oh I haven't had surgery yet lol that's just what's in my binder each patient is given a binder to follow forever but for protein shakes we are supposed to use whey isolate as the first ingredient because it is what absorbs the best by the body Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app

Ok so for my surgeon it is 80-100 grams of protein a day and 64 oz of water also a bariatric multivitamin x2 a day and calcium citrate x3 a day they want you to get like 1500 mg of calcium with Vit d3 Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery, “it’s the easy way.”
Yeah by no means is this easy at all it is drastically changing your relationship with food and that I know is hard for a lot of folks most people's family's use food to celebrate like everything so it can take a toll emotionally getting the separation between food and family time. My husband is dead set against me having wls. Any advice on how to overcome that?
My hubby is obese and while I wish he would have the surgery one day too he's not comfortable with the idea of it and I respect that but he also has the same mutual respect for me and my decision even though he kind of enables my bad habits but I love him so yeah mutual respect nothing is off topic for discussion in our marriage I wouldn't have that Sent from my SM-T380 using BariatricPal mobile app
