Hello everyone! My surgery date is 8/31. I am 40 years old and excited about my future and my new sleeve. I am on my post op diet right now. Everyday gets easier. When my hunger gets unbearable I eat some protein or veggies.

Yep, I got the call this weekend. It is a very common bacteria that 90% of people have. It mostly lies dormant, but since surgery can make it flare up, the surgeons tend to be proactive and treat in in advance. I started my meds yesterday - 2 antibiotics and Prilosec for 10 days. I am not scheduled to be rechecked as it is preventative. My surgery is 8/31.

Lord, i pray for each person in this group today. My prayer is that we will put all of our trust in you. I pray that we will begin to look to you and not food for everything that we need. ie love, comfort, support companionship etc... Give us the strength to get through the rough days and fill our minds with positivity and joy. We thank you and praise you. Amen

Yes, it's becoming real to me. I just received an email that the Dr is calling me in something to the pharmacy. My PCP clearance appt is tomorrow. I am also starting my preop diet tomorrow. Then Aug 31 will be here.????????

Thank God for this thread. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We are making the necessary steps to preserve the temples( our bodies) that he has blessed us with.

Yes I did have it last Tuesday. Dr. Weiner is my surgeon.

Well my hubby and kids are going on a fishing trip for an extended weekend. When we return I will start my preop diet.

Solid relationship are built upon honesty. Either he will support you or he won't. If he does, perhaps he is a keeper. If he doesn't, than you saved yourself future heartbreak.

I'm sure that I will have this same preop struggle. I begin my preop diet on Monday for 2 weeks. My husband is a chef and he makes the entire house smell like a gourmet restaurant everyday. Prayerfully, we will all change our eating habits.

And because I am a self pay, I worry that any complication will destroy my finances.

I am scheduled to be sleeved 8/31/15! Yay! I have some fear, especially that I will not lose weight or that I will develop a severe complication while on the table. But I realize that our minds play tricks on us if we allow it. This is not the time to be distracted or self sabotage. I can't wait to be free from this prison of fat that I have been locked into.
