  1. Awesome!!!! Congrats. I've learned than when it gets hard, go back to the basics
  2. I can't say I was fearful! My mind was made up and I was eager to get it done. My only concern was in regards to any complications because I was a self pay. My sleeve date was 8/31/15. I am down 69lbs and feeling great. The first week was the toughest, but it wasn't unbearable. I have zero regrets and would do it again with no hesitation!! Best Wishes
  3. How is everyone doing? I am doing great, no complications. I'm down 69lbs. I was a tight 28 or 3x/4x- now I am wearing 18/20 or 1x and even a few smaller items. I'm getting my life back and couldn't be happier.
  4. Sleeved 8/31- SW- 341, CW- 294
  5. I'm in 298 as of yesterday- my goal is to be down another 25lbs by Dec 31. Gw- 175lbs
  6. I received the shots in my arm and my abdomen. They started as very very itchy rashes. Now they look like permanent bruises.
  7. 3rd week- not painful just a bit awkward.
  8. Join the club! The very same thing happened to me at the same time period. This second period is now at 9 days and I am flowing very heavy still.
  9. Had my surgery on Aug31, I was at the end of a long 10 day period. Well, I had another that started Sept 10, and today, I am still flowing pretty strong. I spoke to my surgeon and nurse, both say this is a normal hormonal function that can occur. Prior to my surgery, I always had irregular periods. I missed months at a time, so perhaps my body is playing catch up.
  10. Today was my first post op appt- I am down 17lbs!!!!!! Yay
  11. I only used my robe and slippers!
  12. Beegirl, you sound so much like me! Lol.... I was sleeved 8/31. I am definitely mourning food. The smells when my family eats usually sends me to my room. I thought that the smell of food would be a turnoff as well, Not so..... This is a daily walk, and each day I get stronger. Food addiction is real and I'm just really recognizing that I had one.
  13. Hello Mafe- each day I seem to get more in. I'm getting between 25-35g in. Also with the versatility, I'm getting 40oz of liquids. Congrats to my fellow 8/31 sleevers!!!
  14. I was sleeved 8/31, and I am a witness that each day gets better. The mind can be tricky and play games on us. When I find myself consumed with thoughts of food, or the lack thereof, I ask myself, "How bad do you want it?"I remind myself that this initial sacrifice will be well worth it. Talk that devil out of your mind and begin to speak life into your situation. Blessings
  15. The day after surgery (9/1) which was also my wedding anniversary, was awful. I had the worst nausea ever. My surgeon was concerned because he checked on me between every case that day. However, once I received something to help me sleep that night, I felt so much better. I couldn't take the pain meds because they contributed to the nausea. Each day has gotten better. I am home and focusing on getting liquids and protein in which is hard, but I'm committed. I just remind myself that this won't last forever. I am learning to take things day by day.
  16. 30 days from consultation to surgery. I was a self pay.
  17. Had surgery on 8/31. I only had pain the 1st 24 hours. I stopped the pain meds yesterday because I didn't need them.
  18. I'm 2 days post op. Yesterday was an awful day. But today I'm feeling pretty good, no nausea, Thank God
  19. Had my surgery on the 31st. Yesterday was rough. I was very nauseated and just didn't feel good. Today I woke up feeling a lot better after a good night's sleep. I am finally getting some liquids down and I'm going home today.
  20. I am so excited about my healthy future! August 31 sleever!!!
