You are on blood thinners to prevent blood clots. This makes you very susceptible to bruising. That will be the case for the next couple weeks.

Those heparin shots cause HUGE bruises on my stomach.

I received the shots in my arm and my abdomen. They started as very very itchy rashes. Now they look like permanent bruises.

Bruises will get dark as the blood comes near the surface, then might turn yellowish as they start to fade. And like every one else said because of the blood thinners your bruises will look worse then other times you may have bruised. No worries????
