H-Pylori

I just came from the emergency room with bad stomach pains and was told I have H-Pylori bacteria. My sleeve is scheduled for August 25th how will this effect it? I'm in tears because I came too far for this to happen.

Was your surgery put off

No...I went to doctor on aug5 started meds 2 days later I will finish up about day two before surgery . If it's more than 14 days from surgery I would say you good.

I know it's heart wrenching but you would rather have surgery set back week or so than have the infection getting into your blood stream. The doctors are doing all they can think of to

my surgeon noticed i had high levels of bacteria in my stomach (h-pylori) when he did my EGD. I am on a 14day antibiotic, my bacteria levels have to go back down to normal before we proceed before surgery.

Don't worry. You will be given a couple of antibiotics to take for two weeks prior to surgery.

You should be fine.

No I have triple dose antibiotic 3 different kinds for 7 days then I have wait 30 days have breath test make sure it's gone b4 surgery as my doctor wants no complication during surgery so I have no choice ???? must wait

I'm in canada

I had a second opinion and there was no signs of this bacteria. This really frightens me.
