  1. @@southernbelle256 I am 5'2" and surgery date was 8/27.
  2. Sleeved 8/18/15 3.5 months out and 53 lbs down. Apparently my pre-surgery clothes were pretty snug because a lot of them still fit ok until a couple of weeks ago. I wear scrubs at work and have gone from a 2X to a L! I got some shirts at old navy last weekend that were a L! So exciting to get rid of all those X's. Isn't that an amazing feeling. I have gone from a 2x top to a L and from a 22 jeans to a 12. My Cw is 195 Sw 246 and Hw 277.
  3. Today is 3 months post op and I have made it to onederland. I stood on the scale this morning and it said 198. I can't believe it. 79 pounds down total. Hw 277, Sw 246, Cw 198. Age 34. Still have 48 to go to get to personal goal. It now seems achievable.
  4. You should contact the doctor asap.
  5. I have not had too many issues. I am afraid to eat things that are not on my Drs. List. I eat mostly meats and cheeses. I have not tried any grains, breads, pasta, veggies, or fruits. I have not really had any stalls. I still eat only 1/4 of a cup or 2 ounces of food. My energy level had just started to return. So I have just started to get back to the gym.
  6. Niki15, that is great progress. My surgery date was 8/27/15 Hw 277 Sw 246 Cw 221.
  7. I had rny on Aug 27th. I haven't really had any stalls at this point. I am down a total of 50lbs. 20 since the day of surgery. I will have my 1 month post op appointment on Monday. I am still really tired. I can't seem to get enough energy to make it through the day.
  8. I have had the same pain. I am three and a half weeks out and it is starting to ease. My surgeons office explained that it is likely due to nerves that were cut or otherwise damaged during surgery. But if I were you I would check with my surgeon just to make sure everything is ok.
  9. I am waiting for a call back from the surgeon now.
  10. I am almost 3 weeks post op and have been allowed to eat some foods since last Thursday. I have tolerated most things well, and one of my favorites is cottage cheese. Well, I woke up this morning feeling a little nauseous. I completed my morning routine and tried to have breakfast, 1/4 Cup of cottage cheese. I took 2 bites slowly, and chewed well. I started experiencing pain in my pouch and ended up vomiting. Not sure what happened. This is the first time I have had nausea or vomiting. Is this normal?
  11. I am just over 2 weeks out and have gone from a 44 G to about a 38 to 40 DDD. I am down a total of 45 lbs, including pre-op weight loss.
  12. I have no appetite either. I am 2 weeks post open today.
  13. Hi everyone, I thought I would share a funny conversation that went on in my living room last night. I was sitting on the chaise, my husband was laying on the sofa and my 17 year old daughter was folding laundry standing at the end of the chaise. My husband looks over at me and asked, "Have you been on the scale yet (surgery was 8/27/15)?" I replied with, "No, I wanted to wait until I was sure all of the surgery swelling and Water retention were gone first. Why?" He said, "Because it looks like you are starting to melt." I looked at my daughter and she said "He is right Mom, you are melting." I had to laugh. It was too cute. The scale still hadn't gone back to the weight I was at surgery and I do not think I look like I have lost that much weight but apparently I look like I am losing weight even to those who see me all the time. It is definitely a moment I won't forget. Hope you enjoy.
  14. I had surgery yesterday and was on only ice chips until today. I am allowed one protein shake a day (2 ounces at a time) and all the water I want. No broth or jello, my surgeon believes it will make me hungry.
  15. I joined the losers bench this morning. I am having a little pain but it doesn't seem to be terrible, very little nausea. But I am only allowed ice chips. I cannot wait to drink something. That will be tomorrow when I go home. I have already been up and walking. I am a little groggy due to the pain meds and anesthesia.
  16. I am scheduled to be at the hospital at 6 am. Starting to feel a little nervous.
  17. I am scheduled on the 27th. So excited I can barely stand it. I am 1 week into my 2 week 800 calorie high protein diet and seem to be doing ok although I do seem to be more tired than usual. One more week Can we speed up the clocks?
  18. So far I am 6 days into my 800 calorie preop diet and have only lost 2 additional pounds. I have however lost 20 pounds in the last month as this was required prior to surgery being scheduled.
  19. They are mostly eating better because I am cooking more and healthier meals. I think sometimes they just want the treats that I can't have. It is hard yes, but I will have to deal with those around me eating poorly not always at home, but at work and with friends as well.
  20. Are your husband and daughter overweight? Husband yes, daughter no.
  21. I am on 800 calories high protien low carb, non starchy veggies, no fruit and no other carbs. My husband makes it a little difficult. But worse is our friends. Last night the ordered pizza, and brought cream cheese filled croissants and Peanut Butter Cookies. It was hard. But I did it. And this morning my daughter wanted doughnuts and hubby McDonalds. I got both what they wanted and came home and drank an Isopure. We will get though this. And we will be healthier for it. I can't wait for my new stomach this is all worth it
