  1. Have a sore throat and cough...I am 4 weeks post op.Trying to keep hydrated and rested but when I cough it really hurts....trying to stay hydrated with tea.Its rough.
  2. Correct.I am 3 weeks out and my protein and water intake is a struggle but....doing my best
  3. I had gallbladder surgery 5 years ago.WLS last year.

  5. It's tough fotr the first 3 weeks...then you feel like you are getting there.Just take sips of water...,and get up and walk.
  6. You gotta start somewhere.Stop worrying and move forward....it is a journey and you have to" Walk down that yellow brick road"...make it happen.
  7. I am looking for a job ...but as I am losing weight I feel more confident....sometimes a reboot is a new chapter..congrats.
  8. Ugh...yes I can imagine..,tell them you have hernia or gallbladder or ulcer...they will leave you alone.

  10. Before this surgery I was obsessed about food...post surgery I have to remind myself to eat..,,the ravenous sensation is gone...
  11. But worth it.I am 3 weeks post op...each day I am less sore.I can now move to soft/purée foods...hopefully I will get more energy to be able to work out...pacing myself...slowly.I think in 6 weeks I will feel like myself again. Only better and less heavy!

  13. I had metatastic breast cancer back in 2012... I just got the bypass...being overweight and getting fatter by the day was worrying me....weight gain and obesity would cause it to reoccur and I have to lose this weight.I take anastrazole and lupron shots post breast cancer...now I am off metformin and ,chloresterol medication. Nosy relatives with too many damn opinions.Keep the em out of your business...tell them you have hiatal hernia...end of story...being overweight you just may have a hernia. Not being able to drink and eat at the same time? are you kidding me..,you will be drinking Water every second throughout the day. Being a big fatso is no fun and I am sick of being invisible...I am too good for that...I had to do something.Bypass is working...it is helping me...take control.
  14. Get Floradix iron with herbs from the health store.I suffered with this until a friend from Canada turned me on to this.It is a liquid.All natural. Amazon also has it.
  15. Not more than 10 pounds.If you can get a solid 2 weeks you will be ok.

I am 51 and suffered with the lapband since 2004.I suffered because it wasn't working for me and caused me so much problems.I was constantly throwing up....let me just say...I desperately needed a revision.I chose bypass and had surgery 12/28/15 .I want to say this....WLS is no joke.It is major and not something to take lightly.I have had a rough time ...the first week I felt like I was run over by a truck but everyday It gets better and I am so happy I went through with it.I am finally getting a grip on the situation and taking my life back....
