  1. Hey...I'm glad I'm not the only one beating myself up. I've only been banded for two weeks and I'm ready for something to happen. I saw my Dr. last Friday and he said that most people lose most of their weight from 3-18 months. I can't imagine waiting 2 1/2 more months. I go back on the 25th. I'm praying for a fill, but I think I'm going to be disappointed. I'm starting to feel very hungry and a protien shake isn't doing the trick. I can't wait for my support group. I feel like I'm going crazy. I'm on purees and I'm kinda sick of them. I've tried a few things like overcooked carrots, etc. I know I need to be patient, but I've been big for so long that I'm just mentally ready for success. Thanks for listening.
  2. I have questions too. I got banded on the 27th. I feel great physically. Mentally is where my problem is. I've had broth, broth, and more broth. I've had yougurt, SF yogurt and pudding. I don't feel too hungry; however, I don't have a problem eating 6 oz yogurt, 8 oz broth, etc. What's wrong with me? :help:I see people that just eat 2-3 oz. I feel a tad bit of frustration because I'm not full at 3 bites.
  3. I feel the chest pain as well. It kinda feels like I have to burp and I can't. I still feel hungry though. I'm eager to get a fill. Do you feel full after broth and liquids? I can't say I've got the full feeling...I'm just not hungry.
  4. I'm a teacher too. I got the surgery on the 27th. How are you doing? I'm kinda sick of the liquid. Let me know.
  5. Hi all! This is the first time I have gotten on this forum. I was scared to do it before the surgery. I got banded on the 27th and feel great. I've gotten a hunger pain 2 times, but nothing a little broth won't fix. I'm very eager to move on in the fill process, but I realize I need time for my stomach to heal. Does anyone know of any resources for recipes for broth or other things that can be eaten during the first 2 weeks of post-op?
  6. Hey guys, I'm in the Dallas area. I just got banded on December 27th. I'm doing okay. It has been a little hard over the holidays, but I know it will be worth it. I'm very luck that my insurance picked up the tab. It all went so fast. After I did the seminar, etc. it took my insurance only 5 days to approve me. Please give me strength and keep me in your prayers. Good luck to all of you!
