  1. I was banded on Monday the 28th. I was so amazed at how my surgery went. I expected it to much more painful than it was. The worst pain was in my shoulder but was to be expected. I had debated for several years about having the surgery and many times changed my mind because of the fears I had. I am so glad I finally went through with it. I know now that this was meant to be.
  2. I'm going to be banded on January 28th. I have 300 lbs to lose. I am so glad to find someone in the same boat as me. Good Luck.
  3. I love to read Dean Koontz books. I also love Nebraska football. I am a single parent to two wonderful kids, age 6 and 7 so they take up most of my free time, but I am so excited to be having the surgery so I can do more with them.
  4. Hey! My name is Brandi and I am 29 years old. I am scheduled to be banded on the 28th of January and I am so excited. I have a lot of weight to lose, and I am finally glad I have found something that may actually work. I have been overweight all of my life and am ready for a new beginning.
  5. Kristin, I also live in eastern Nebraska and my surgeon has been great. It does take awhile to get a surgery date set because of all the pre-testing but once that is taken care of everything seems to roll smoothly. I was just scheduled for Jan 28th. I also felt strange about telling others but now I tell everybody. I think in the beginning I was worried I would be the person it didn't work for, but now I have confidence that it is what is best for me and I tell a lot of people so I have a lot of support. The crazy thing is as I tell more people, I find out a lot of people know someone who has had the same surgery. Good Luck!
  6. I can't figure out how to add my name to the list. My surgery date is Jan 28th.
  7. Hi, I just found out on Friday that I'm scheduled to be banded on January 28th. I am so nervous but it's really an excited nervous.
