Today is my first day using this forum. I started at 504 lbs. Today I weighed in at 280.2. I hope to offer support to others and continue to be inspired by those succeeding in their journey.

I'm pre op and waiting for a call to set a date. Jumped through most of the hoops except cardio and 1 more NUT visit. I was 460# last week when I met with Surgeon for 2nd time. It all just feels like a dream or a movie script. I'm truly appreciative of your perspective.

Hey you girls have it easy these days. I was dating in the late 80 ' s and in southern California. Everyone but me was a size 8 or smaller. My friends were all like 5 foot nothing and size 6. I'm like 5 foot 8 and size 13. ( when I was younger) in fact I'm almost there again.

Not sure about others but for me I'm married. My husband has always told me I'm beautiful. Unfortunately I haven't felt that way in a long time. He now tells me I'm beautiful and he is proud of me. He is happy I'm going to be around longer to enjoy some grandkids. I'm in my 40’s but what I have noticed lately is ppl talk to me more. My daughter has noticed, my son's have noticed and lol mu hubby gets jealous. which is really weird but great. I had surgery 6 weeks ago. The heating bill was $500. It is amazing that I can feel cold again. I was always hot, and last summer was hell.

Oh yes always cold....that happens when you loose insulation!!! :-)

Fatigue is definitely common this early out. Give it a month or so and you should start gaining your energy back, plus more. Good luck!

Oh yes, I'm ALWAYS cold now. I'm the one that always avoided the outdoors due to sweating, so I'm interested to see how I handle those 100 degree Houston summer days this year.

Yes, exhaustion is normal in those first few months while your body changes. Cold, yup! I am always cold now and I used to always be hot and sweaty. Especially my hands and feet.

Sorry still figuring out this post thing. My surgery is tomorrow would love to keep track of you. Let me know how you're doing.
